Eli Porter edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Eli Porter, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? WODUP 05:33, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Eli Porter edit

I have nominated Eli Porter, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eli Porter. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. November 2010 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for continual vandalism, no evidence that you want to contribute positively to Wikipedia. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Please let me edit again my sister was using my account. Sorry.

Your sister gained access to your account in October and November? Apologies, but I do not believe you. Tiderolls 03:10, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I honestly won't lose sleep if you don't let me edit again, because I can get a different username and write from a different IP address. However, I have used this account on and off for almost five years, I think I've made a few good contributions, and I prefer to keep using this username because of the history that goes with it. I understand you're trying to make Wikipedia seem more prestigious/reliable or whatever but having a policy of excluding people from the community based on easily reversible editing mistakes is misguided and nonsensical. Will anybody on Wikipedia care if I'm gone? Probably not. But maintaining this policy of automatically banning users for making mistakes (in my case, getting my account hijacked by my sister) will ruin this community. I don't know who you are and I don't know why you chose to pick on me. But you are wrong. I'll apologize and quadruple read the Wikipedia guidelines, but I think anything done wrong on my part was minor at worst.

Decline reason:

As you have stated that your account has been compromised it is not possible to unblock you. We can never know now who is editing.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:08, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Ummm, I'll off my sister or change my password. Please let me use my account again; Wikipedia has been one of the best things to me (no sarcasm, it's been useful as hell and occasionally fun editing when I have had good contributions). Is it possible to just get another username or will I have to change IP addresses too????

Decline reason:

I am not going to make a further determination; I will leave that for another admin. But I will repeat that it is very unlikely that a compromised account will be unblocked. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:26, 4 December 2010 (UTC) That's cool, I understand, but bring another administratorTheKid20:27, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • I'll give you credit for coming up with a reason I've never seen before, but promising to kill your sistyer to prevent her from using your account isn't going to cut it. You have been vandalizing Wikipedia in small doses for years and it is past time you were blocked for it. If you wish to appeal the block further you will need to directly email the Arbitration Committee as outlined here. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:37, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
