Irish Freemasons edit

You asked in an edit summary at List of Freemasons about flags. We have tended to use the flag that historically flew at the time that the person lived... so, for example, A Mason from Massachusets who lived entirely prior to the founding of the US would get the old Union Flag of the UK (ie without the cross of St. Patrick) and not the Stars and Stripes. If he lived at the time of US Independance, we would probably use the US flag. I am not sure what the correct flag should be in your case (when was the Act of Union with Ireland?... this might determine whether to use a UK flag or some other Irish flag, such as perhaps a County flag.) In any case... since the Irish Tricolor was not offical until the 1920s, that clearly is the wrong choice. Blueboar (talk) 20:18, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about the over revision on that page, I guess I got carried away a bit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.183.68.91 (talk) 23:45, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
