2021 Michigan Tech Huskies football team moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, 2021 Michigan Tech Huskies football team, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Michigan Tech Huskies football articles

edit

TheDiamoneMinor, thanks for you recent contributions. I see you've created a whole bunch of Michigan Tech Huskies football articles in the past few days. A few issues here. Most importantly, these articles should include at least some third-party sourcing (i.e. not merely sourcing from Michigan Tech itself) to establish notability before they are published to the mainspace. Related to that, the sourcing you're pulling from the Michigan Tech Huskies website (e.g. https://www.michigantechhuskies.com/sports/fball/1930-31/schedule) is not accurate nor credible. It doesn't make much sense that they would credit themselves with wins or losses for "playing themselves". I checked contemporary newspaper records for the 1930 season and determined who Michigan Tech was actually playing that season. It wasn't themselves. See: 1930 Michigan Tech Huskies football team. I encourage you to continue to work on this sort of content, but please only introduce new articles if you verify accuracy using a third-party source. It would be a good idea for you to apply for access to Newspapers.com at Wikipedia:Newspapers.com, particularly if you want to work on stuff from this era. Feel free to give me a shout if you have an questions! Jweiss11 (talk) 02:06, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

@BeanieFan11: giveing you a heads up here as you did some editing on the 1930 Michigan Tech article. Jweiss11 (talk) 02:06, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
