Hey

After extensive research, and dealing with the many, many people who tried to submit near-identical articles or drafts about Mr Welsh as a direct result of his request on Youtube, I have concluded that there is not at this time anywhere near enough coverage of Mr. Welsh to justify a Wikipedia article about him. A draft would be a waste of your time. Please read our guidelines on notability and reliable sources. In particular, no crowd-sourced sites, and nothing that Mr. Welsh controls. Nothing that depends on the number of Mr. Welsh's subscribers, either, because (although social media companies don't like to talk about this), you can buy likes/friends/subscribers/followers. I'm not saying that Mr. Welsh has purchased his subscribers; what I'm saying is that this is the reason "has lots of subscribers" is not a criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia.

If you were to eliminate all of those unacceptable sources, what would you have? DS (talk) 05:38, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

And, actually, that's what you should do first: compile a list of sources. If you don't have sources, it's not worth the time to write. DS (talk) 06:10, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the explanation, I’m sorry about you and all the other admins that have had to deal with the many article drafts that needed to be deleted. I had viewed some of those and I agree majority of those didn’t even have sources and looked more like vandalism, so speedy deletion made sense for all of those. If I remove the unacceptable sources you described from my latest draft I had, I have 3 sources of coverage that I believe are acceptable sources but I understand how that would not be enough for notability at this time, only one really focused on him. Will have to watch out for more coverage in the future. Thanks --ThatGuy551 (talk) 06:13, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for understanding. Who knows, it's possible that enough coverage will accrue over the next few years. DS (talk) 13:39, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
