Great Zimbabwe

edit

Greetings! May I ask why you believe that the ancestors of the Shona have been proven to have built Great Zimbabwe? The Lemba seem to have an at least equally strong claim to the edifices. Also, the explorer João de Barros wrote in the 16th century that the natives did not know who built it - they apparently thought it was the work of the devil. Some of the structures there also appear to have cultural ties with Pharaonic Egypt, which suggests that the stoneworks are of considerable antiquity. Have any fossils been found? My believe that the Shona was built Great Zimbabwe based on the latest research, which confirmed without a doubt that they are the one who built it. for example, read Peter Garlake and Thomas Huffman Researches. For Lemba, the evidence they're built zimbabwe are wrong and Unproven. And it's impossible for the Pharaohs to be linked to Zimbabwe Because the last Pharaonic dynasty ended in 30 BC But Zimbabwe has been built in the twelfth century.
