The Artemis Fowl WikiProject

edit

Hi. In the last month I have discovered the Artemis Fowl WikiProject and have slowly but surely been making progress. I have, however, noticed that no one else seems to be doing anything. So, it's as simple as this. Respond to this message, or your name gets removed from the participants list and I assume leadership of the WikiProject, because I will actually get something done. You have exactly 1 week, or 7 days, or 168 hours. They all mean the same thing.

However, please know that this is nothing personal against you. This is a generic message sent to every person on the participants list. Thanks for your co-operation. -007bond aka Matthew G aka codingmasters 10:50, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

An excerpt (from me, of course)-

Goblins are fairies that are considered very stupid by other races. They are able to conjure fireballs. Goblins are lucky if they can make friends, as they cannot cooperate with others. A group of them create the B'wa Kell, a mafia group that smuggles batteries for weaponery and started a rebellion that nearly destroyed Haven, the capital of the fairy people.

AfD Nomination: Wing Commander Vinyáyá

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Wing Commander Vinyáyá meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wing Commander Vinyáyá. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. --CyberGhostface 21:50, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Hickam homer.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Hickam-homer.jpg. The copy called Image:Hickam-homer.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 19:32, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:WARRIORS

edit

Hi, I don't really know if you in charge of the project or what, but I wanted to ask you something. The current template for WP: Warriors doesn't have a section where someone can put a rating for the article, which I think would be very useful. An example of a project template that does have a section for assesment is {{NovelsWikiProject}}. I wanted it to look something like that, but obviously it would have the Warriors WikiProject info on it. User :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) offered to help with making it (since I have pretty much no

idea how), but he suggested I ask someone in charge first. Thanks,  Bella Swan(Talk!) 17:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:Guardians 12 Golden.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Guardians 12 Golden.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Warriors novel pages

edit

I'd like to point out that all Warriors novels do not need the (Warriors) portion in the title. That is only necessary for a page that already existed with that title, to differentiate between the two (And it would be impossible to create anyways). For books like Shadow of the Stars, this is not necessary, because there is not any other page with that title. --~|ET|~(Talk|Contribs) 10:45, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redirect of RiverClan

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on RiverClan, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because RiverClan is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting RiverClan, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Book drive

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Book drive, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

non notable term

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free image File:Guardians 12 Golden.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Guardians 12 Golden.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Nuaa.jpg)

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:02, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jingyi Church (Shanghai), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Huangpu District. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
