Major Points

edit
  • The Digital Transmission section might not apply here. From what I read on the Band-stop filter and Passband pages, stopbands aren't used to communicate. I could be wrong though.
  • The Filters section is very technical, and I couldn't really parse it.
  • Needs citations
  • I think the headings could be more descriptive
  • It would be good to include some images similar to the Passband page
  • This could probably be put into some categories too

Minor points

edit
  • The period after 'stopband' in the intro is bolded
  • The mention of 'bandstop' in the intro should link to the Band-stop filter page
  • 'real filters'
  • An explanation of what attenuated means would be helpful
  • 'is the frequencies' -> 'is the range of frequencies' in the second paragraph of the Filters section

Major Points

edit
  • In the original article, it doesn't seem like stopbands are necessarily always a range within a band-stop. If you are going to mention band-stops in the intro, it might need to be clearer that this is only one case in which they
  • Article seems pretty light on sources, it could use more references. Without sources, it is also hard to tell what new information could be added, since everything from the original article is in the filters section. The titles of the last two sections are vague in relation to the rest of the article
  • Perhaps there could be a section specific to how these are used, for example in telephones, and what the differences are to its opposite.

Minor Points

edit
  • Missing word in first sentence: "does not allow (signals) to pass"
  • Original article hyphenates "band-stop
  • dB could link to page for decibels
  • Could define attenuate or link to page
  • Could link to page for frequency

Peer Review (4/3/2016): I think as I'm reading your page, much of the information listed in the previous ^^^ peer reviews is missing. I'm assuming you're going to add more information to this page because most of the sections have a heading and only a single line of information. The intro paragraph should give the reader a better idea of what a stop-band is.

The Specifications section is technical, but I think that's hard to avoid when talking about this subject; I would suggest pairing technical sentences with layman ones so the average reader has a better opportunity to understand what you're trying to say.
