Opinion polling for the 2023 Australian referendum
Hi Teratix, I have just been admiring your opinion poll plots in the article Opinion polling for the 2023 Australian Indigenous Voice referendum. Great work pulling together all those data – the figures add a lot to the article. I am just wondering if you might consider a change in line colour for the next version? Thanks to my red-green colourblindness, I am having a hard time distinguishing the "Yes" and "No" lines, so that might be causing issues for ~8% of men. Just as a comparison, I find the colours in this figure (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Australian_federal_election_polling_-_47th_parliament_-_two_party_preferred.svg) very easy to distinguish. - Hi Ackatsis, thanks for letting me know, I'll fix this as soon as I've got the time – ideally I would like to keep the red–green colour scheme because of its associations with No and Yes respectively, so what I might try doing at first is changing shades so one line is darker and the other lighter, and maybe changing the symbols for the individual points so people can differentiate based on shape as well. I'm still inexperienced with R plotting so it takes me a while to write code that works properly. – Teratix ₵ 05:54, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
