AIV reports

Hi! Thanks for helping fight vandalism by making reports at WP:AIV! However, the reports you've made don't require admin assistance. You need to double-check the date of the last warning to make sure that it was within the past 24 hours or so. Some of the reports you've made are from users who haven't had a warning in several months. You are free to leave warnings for these users--a chart of the warning progressions can be found at WP:TT. If you leave a test3 or a test4 warning for a user and the user persists in vandalism, then you can make a report and admin will intervene. Thanks for your help! You have to start over, though you can probably skip to test2. Remember that we can't always tell if an IP address is the same person -- the new editor shouldn't be penalized because he or she is using an IP address formerly used by a vandal. So even if the user has several block notices on their website, you gotta start over. -- Merope 18:52, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you Tellyaddict for adopting me. My first is question is; I enjoy reading the new-pages for interesting stuff and often tag articles that are nonsense or for put there vanity purposes. Tellyaddict, your overzealous deleting of legitimate changes needs to come to an end. It looks like, from your talk page, that you have deleted the changes of 5 or more people merely because they have neglected to log in before making the edits. Is there more to it than that? I have to echo Dbabbitt's sentiments regarding some "over-zealous editing". Today you added "" to an article I started last week: Kent Fire and Rescue Service. It's obvious that you hadn't read the article nor bothered to look at the footnotes. Everything in that opening par was correctly formatted, cited and linked. Had you have actually bothered to read the article you would have seen this. One of the best ways anyone can contribute to Wikipedia is by reading the articles. Vandalproof problems

Hi there, could you please help me with vandal proof as you are a moderator. Sometimes when I'm on vandal proof a message comes up on screen and says object variable with block variable not set and closes it down and I don't know what to do to correct it, although this does not happen always, its really annoying when it does. Hi, apologies for my errors in dealing with this matter, but as a relative newcomer to Wikipedia I am still learning the ropes. I have read the discussion on the article's entry on the Articles for deletion page and there seems to be a general consensus of opinion forming that the subject is sufficiently notable. Adoption

Hi. You put a disambiguation link at the top of Adoption. I think this is an unnecessary self-reference. Can you explain why it's necessary? My understanding is that links to the Wikipedia namespace should only be included when absolutely necessary. I don't see how this is necessary, and it seems likely to make a mess of other websites that use Wikipedia's content -- for example [1] (this currently shows the form a couple of days ago, but it's not much different). IFD glossary

"OR" stands for "orphaned", or not used on any pages in Wikipedia. The other accepted shorthands used are:

• AB or AU (absentee uploader) - The uploader has not contributed to Wikipedia in a long time, and is probably unavailable to answer questions.
• CV (copyright violation) - The image might be used in violation of copyright.
• LQ (low quality) - The image is of an extremely low resolution, distorted, or has other physical image quality concerns.
• OB (obsolete) - The image has been replaced by a better version. Indicate the new image name.
• UE (unencyclopedic) - The image doesn't seem likely to be useful in this encyclopedia.
