Nice to see that you selected your topic Filter bank. And a stub at that too! Here are some ways on how to go about writing your first article on Wikipedia. Its highly recommended that you initially start your editing work in your sandbox. Sandbox is a subpage of your userpage where you can do any work of your choice, test and hone your editing skills using the wiki markup. You can make one by simply copying {{My sandbox}} on your userpage which makes a link to your very own sandbox. You can start editing there for starters. While your article is building up, do not forget to add quality references and citations , Wikilinks and External links wherever possible. After you're confident of your article, have a peer review it, get opinions from more than a guy, and then after revisions, you'll be ready to have your own article in Wikipedia for the world to see.
