Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not be appropriate to be indexed by external search engines as presently written. Typically, this could be because it appears promotional, or contains material in development or archived that doesn't yet meet policies and guidelines. I have tagged this page as __NOINDEX__, which allows editing but minimizes the page's inclusion in search engine results.

If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, you can change the page so that it more clearly meets Wikipedia guidelines, or you can edit it as normal and ignore the tag completely (it will not affect editing).

However, please do not remove the tag without discussion. Thank you. : Noyster (talk), 23:25, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you are thinking of starting a Wikipedia article about Professor Tariq Awan, please read this page and follow the procedure explained there. Please note that articles about living people have to cite reliable sources for the information they contain. You may develop an article as a user draft but please do not use your user page (User:Tehmina Tauqir) for this purpose: Noyster (talk), 23:32, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Starting an article edit

You asked on my talk page for help in preparing an article about Professor Muhammad Tariq Awan. Well the simplest course is just to make a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles. The drawback here is that many articles are requested and it may take some time for anyone to get around to yours.

If you do wish to attempt it yourself, then please take another look at my advice just above. Writing a new Wikipedia article that will be accepted is not a trivial task, but we have provided helpful advice in this page and a process to follow in the Article wizard. This process will show that you need to assemble "reliable sources" and include references to them in your article.

Using the Article Wizard will result in a draft page being created including your chosen title, such as Draft:Tariq Awan. This link is red at the moment, but if text is typed into it and saved, it will become blue like all the other "wikilinks" you see here.

Please let me know again if you have any further queries. On Wikipedia we normally prefer to communicate through "talk pages" like this one, rather then email, so that any editor can see what is being discussed and help if they want: Noyster (talk), 21:16, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
