Citations

edit

I know this page is just used to organize ideas and the project but I want to make sure that everyone is clear on how to cite in Wikipedia. Someone added references to Phonology under Domains of Language. This is great but the references need to be cleaned up. Instead of just having a link (which non-UofA users will have a hard time accessing), we need to fill in information like in a paper. When writing you can press the "cite" button after a statement that needs citation. Then it has a pull-down bar that says Templates. From there you can choose your type of source (ex. web, book, article, etc) and then fill in the boxes. Wikipedia makes it very easy for us! If you then copy and paste your writing from here into an article, the references come also. Let me know on my talk page or by responding to this if you have any questions!
