Ken Allred

edit

Hello. I notice that you recently changed Ken Allred's title with the Australian Wine Club of Edmonton from "President" to "Grand President". That looks distinctly like vandalism to me, but in accordance with WP:AGF I'll give you a chance to explain/source the change before I revert it. Please do so on either the articles talk page or my talk page. Sarcasticidealist 23:38, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm pleased that my assumption of good faith wasn't misplaced (I've been reviewing your other edits, and you certainly don't seem like a vandal - I especially like your removal of those POV words that people too often feel free to drop in articles). The only source I can find on the title is the Edmonton Journal article posted on the club's site, which refers to him only as the "President", but I also know from experience that media like to shorten titles (when I was Vice President (Operations and Finance) of the University of Alberta Students' Union, whenever any of us was quoted in the newspaper it would be as "the Vice President of the Students' Union", despite the fact that there were four of us). Accordingly, I'll leave your change the way it is. Welcome to Wikipedia. Sarcasticidealist 23:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism on United States

edit

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to United States, you will be blocked from editing. —DCGeist 05:37, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

What??!!! How dare you call me a bloody vandal! Just because I don't spend half my life on the internet doesn't mean I can't read and write, and as far as I know anyone can write on Wikipedia as long as its true, referenced and makes a better article. If I'm a vandal, then why the hell did the last guy who throws that word around a bit too easily say sorry after seeing that I wasn't a vandal? I get very cross when people say Yanks are closed-minded because some of my good mates are from the States, but you sir are a tired old cliche. If you think bears attacking people are a joke, then maybe that's cos I'm an Aussie and here we take animal attacks pretty seriously, like after the poor bugger Steve Irwin passed away. So have some bloody manners, for goodness sake! You just ruined my afternoon! Tazchook 06:07, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Take the warning seriously. It's debatable whether your edit was vandalism or just poor judgment. Either way, please do not repeat such behavior. As for manners, I think yours could use some improvement. Please observe WP:CIVIL. --Richard 18:55, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
