Reverted my revert edit

Just in case you want to know, your bot reverted an edit of mine to some vandalism that I'd just reverted. --Karafias 01:40, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit to Category:Hypothetical dwarf planets edit

I was attempting to fix the category, which had excessive text description and no parenting. 132.205.44.134 23:34, 26 September 2006 (UTC) Reply

Your edit to Category:Indiana Jones characters edit

Your recent edit to Category:Indiana Jones characters (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Hello. Apparently the bot isn't allowing me to remove the PROD tag from Category:Indiana Jones characters. I attempted to remove the PROD because I think it's a legitimate category and the deletion request should follow WP:CfD. Thanks. RJH (talk) 15:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bug in algorhythm edit

I'm not sure how your programe works but this edit [1] revert a good faith anti vandilism edit from an IP. David D. (Talk) 19:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC) Reply

Thierry Henry's shit edit

Your bot keeps censoring a Luis Aragones quote in the Thierry Henry article which includes the word "shit". As a part of a quote, it belongs there.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  22:16, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

And it has attributed misinformation by User:80.193.41.81 to me in a further revert. Sigh.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  23:12, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bots gone wild edit

Please see the edit history here. Tawkerbot4 and AntiVandalBot took turns reverting the same edit. However, they kept reverting to a version that itself had been vandalized; and every time a human editor fixed the error, they reverted again. --Russ (talk) 17:13, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sharing violation (between the bots) - I've been looking at this... things seem to be stabalizing now... not sure what was going on yet -- Tawker 18:09, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

>:O edit

If your bot edits another one of my revisions, I'm going to kill your family

You do know that that's a threatban.... right... -- Tawker 18:18, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia introduction page edit

Can you build something into the bot so that it does not identify edits to the introduction page (and similar tutorial pages/project pages) as vandalism. The users are invited by the introduction to edit the page. Tawkerbot reverted one such posting today and, I fear, would have posted a warning message had the user page existed.

Thanks

It *should* ignore such edits... do you have a diff so I can ID? -- Tawker 18:15, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Here is the diff. LittleOldMe 18:24, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I think it's a red herring. I now see what the bot is doing. It is just restoring the introduction text (as the edit summary says). Apologies. LittleOldMe 18:29, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

More problems edit

Why has Tawkerbot4 been accusing AntiVandalBot of vandalism? edit

If you look at User Talk:AntiVandalBot#Your edit to George Allen (U.S. politician), you can see that it accused User:AntiVandalBot of vandalism.

Are the two bots fighting? Will (Talk - contribs) 19:43, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yep, sharing conflict. Damnit, the bots just need to learn to share -- Tawker 23:19, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Are you able to whitelist changes by user? If so, that would solve the problem, wouldn't it? Will (Talk - contribs) 23:48, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
