Re: 410 Squadron copy editing
editHi! Thanks for the barnstar. I found what you added to be interesting, so I thought I'd polish it a bit. I may add some more stuff myself (about the aerobatic team). Keep up the good work. Cheers.BCtalk to me 04:25, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Your rollback request
editHello Tartarus, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Please remember that rollback is for reverting vandalism/spam, and that misuse of the tool, either by revert-warring with other users, or simply reverting edits you disagree with, can lead to it being removed. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 22:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Huggle is for trusted users only to revert vandalism. I am not a vandal. If you revert another edit of mine again without a proper edit summary you risk having your use revoked. 78.150.75.10 (talk) 21:42, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Re:Curiosity.
editIts called a dynamic ip. Also try RC patrolling manually for a few days in order to restore good faith instead of pulling the trigger too quickly. I am a former Wikipedian who has suffered from vandalism. 78.150.75.10 (talk) 21:50, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your assist on the above article. You have added several facts that my source did not show. As a retired Coast Guardsman, I have a real interest that all things 'Coast Guard' get represented on WP fairly and accurately, and your assistance has helped.
There is one bothersome detail about Shepard; different sources list different birth dates and death dates! I wonder what is really right? I will continue with some more research and try to find the answers. If you find anything more concrete, please let me know on my talk page. Again, thanks for your interest. Cuprum17 (talk) 01:56, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I will look for an official date of birth if it helps, and thank you for your recognition, but it is you that deserve credit for the major work done. TARTARUS talk 02:42, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Trivial edits with AWB
editI noticed 17 edits of Austro-Hungarian submarines articles in which you, using AWB, removed a single return character. May I remind you that the AWB Rules of Use suggest that you:
Avoid making insignificant or inconsequential edits such as only adding or removing some white space … because it wastes resources and clogs up watch lists.
(emphasis as in original). In all 17 cases, the extra return character was in place to prevent the clashing of the navbox template with the bottom of the references. Please respect the AWB rules and the time of other editors and avoid making edits like these in the future. — Bellhalla (talk) 04:29, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
