Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Global East Rock Festival edit

Hello Tarastar42. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Global East Rock Festival to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. Kimchi.sg (talk) 08:37, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Let's get this party started! edit

I love it. I absolutely love it. A great way to start off. I saw your message about your first article, East Bay Green Corridor. That is some great work. I also want to thank you for welcoming KatPage. And I saw your work helping to save KatPage's first article, Momiji Dolls and your help at the AfD. What a great user you are and a valuable assett to the project. WOW!. Thank you so very much. I will comment more on this later, but for now, "let's get this party started!"

I can't write worth a darn, but you obviously can. What I can do is add content and format stuff. I will be working on Momiji Dolls over the next couple of days. Maybe we could team up on this artcile and fix it up. I can build it up and maybe you can rewite my bad writing, and fix my other errors. And maybe some of the stuff I do can be informative to you. I'll add some notes to the article's talk page in case you would like to look. By the way, I'm a new user too (started a couple days after you). Seems like us new users are the only ones that are nice to each other. Glad to have you aboard and thank you very much for all your efforts. Oh yeah, love the "42" part, in case you're a Douglas Adams fan. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 13:48, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Should have just looked at you user page first, yep, another Douglas Adams fan. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 13:51, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

More on this later - it's a Barnstar edit

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
In appreciation of your fine work, your gracious welcoming of new users and all around being a great person, I hereby award Tarastar42 the Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar. Thank you so very much for donating your time to Wikipedia. You are truly a great asset to the project. Thanks. - Hydroxonium (talk) 14:05, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Of course I'm going to give you a Barnstar. How could I not? Thank you kindly. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 14:05, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

WOW!! Thanks so much! You have made my day! I would love to collaborate with you on articles; that would be fun! The only thing is I am about to get crazy-busy... I have been editing a lot recently because I have been sick and stuck in bed, but starting tomorrow I will have almost no free-time. :-(. Still, I will pop in when I can. Thanks so much for making me feel so special! Tarastar42 (talk) 15:30, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

File:Momiji.jpg is up for deletion at Commons edit

I just saw that File:Momiji.jpg is up for deletion at Commons, so I thought I'd let you know. Sorry for the bad news. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 15:08, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You saved the article edit

  The Article Rescue Barnstar
In recognition of your impressive work in saving Momiji Dolls, I hereby award Tarastar42 the Rescue Barnstar 3. Thank you very much for your tremendous effort. - Hydroxonium (talk) 11:21, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You did it, the article is saved. The AfD was just closed as "Keep". Thank you so very much. I'm going to keep working on the article to fix it up. Thanks. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 11:23, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! edit

HOW DARE YOU?? Haha, good luck to the squad. Hey, I might as well tell you here--that list of media appearances, I find that a bit problematic: a Google search can't show up in a reference, and what I find really odd (cause I did my homework!) is that there really is no coverage at all on this person, despite what you claim (or can be presented as--we'll fight over that later) as her ubiquity in the media. So cab's point at the AfD is very relevant, I think. Anyway, if the squad can do something with it, good for them; I don't mind being proven wrong. Ghazal Omid article rescue edit

Hi again, Tarastar42. I've added sources to the article and expanded it. If you have a chance, could you go through it quickly to see if I made any mistakes? I'm notorious for typos.   Thanks. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 14:18, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

New Page Triage engagement strategy released edit

Hey guys!

I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox - okeyes wikimedia.org.

It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:29, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:24, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers edit

Hi Tarastar42,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

RC Patrol-related Proposals in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey edit

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
