The Hong Kong article is a bit of a hotbed right now. Per Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Taluchen reported by SchmuckyTheCat (talk) (Result: cautioned), I am requesting that you be more careful to follow both the letter of the three revert rule (no more than three reverts of any kind to the same article in any 24 hour period) and the spirit of Wikipedia:Edit warring (if you cannot in good faith reach consensus, seek neutral outside input). I am tempted to lock the page from editing, but I think perhaps not yet. If you have any thoughts on the matter, do please let me know. - 2/0 (cont.) 18:30, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I looked at the the list of edits on the 3RR page, and the 3rd edit was not a revert, but merely a minor grammatical change to make the sentence sound less ambiguous. Excluding that edit, no 3 of the reverts fall within a 24-hour time frame - therefore, I believe that 3RR was not violated. Nevertheless, I'll take a more collaborative approach towards editing. That figured into my decision, that just talking would be better than blocking, yes. You were, however, being a bit uncivil and not discussing enough. Honestly, also, there seem to be much more significant issues plaguing the editing of that page just now than the little edits for which you were reported. I will go note now that there was not a technical 3RR violation, though; sorry, I should have made that clear when closing the report initially. - 2/0 (cont.) 20:28, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
