The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Cyberbullying: People v. Marquan M., 2014 WL 2931482 (Ct. App. NY July 1, 2014), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://blog.ericgoldman.org/archives/2014/07/criminal-cyberbullying-statute-violates-first-amendment-new-york-v-marquan.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Your article says that it is a draft. I'm going to move your article to the draft namespace, if that's OK with you? In the draft namespace, you can work on it at your leisure, and when you're ready, it can be checked and published by a Articles for Creation editor.   Hello, I'm Kharkiv07. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Draft:Cyberbullying: People v. Marquan M., 2014 WL 2931482 (Ct. App. NY July 1, 2014), with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Kharkiv07 (talk) 00:13, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your note Kharkiv07. I am new here as you may notice, so I appropriate you being patient. I have been advised I should work on the article in my "talk"/sandbox rather than as a draft, which is why I deleted the content. How can I delete a draft page (or even before that, should I?). Thanks taliashwartz
Hello! I apologize for marking it as blanking, but on the draft I have tagged it for speedy deletion on the grounds that the author requests deletion. Thanks and if you need anything else I'm happy to be of assistance! Kharkiv07 (talk) 00:36, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Great, thanks for the promptness Kharkiv07. I might need help down the road, what is the best why to ask for help here? Should I add your name-tag to my talk page? Or should I leave a "massage" on your talk page? Thank you! taliashwartz
Either leave me a message on my talk page or put "{{Talkback|Taliashwartz}}" on my talk page if you write a message here. Kharkiv07 (talk) 00:45, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
The page has been deleted, I hope the new one goes well! Kharkiv07 (talk) 01:55, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Kharkiv07. The article I am working on is a legal case summary, which refers to (and quote) parts of the court opinion. My main concern is that it will be auto-deleted based on alleged copyright infringement (because of quotes). That's what happened the first time I tries to upload the article's content - see the action by CorenSearchBot at 01:00, 13 February 2015 (UTC).Any advise on that? TaliashwartzReply
Well since it's a court opinion it should be public domain, my advice would be to cite the opinion directly instead of going through another source, as any and all works by the US government are not eligible for copyright protection (per 17 USC 105), so you should be good. If you cite it directly and the bot still picks it up, I'd see if the bot has a way to report an error, as most bots do, or take it up on the bot's talk page, because a direct quote from either a state court or a federal court would be usable under Wikipedia's copyright policy. Perhaps here? Kharkiv07 (talk) 02:15, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I also did move the page to here, as that's the preferred location for AfC articles. Kharkiv07 (talk) 02:30, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
