Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Keeping dead links edit

Hi, I reverted your deletions of 2 citations in the 2010 Haiti earthquake article. Please see the guidelines with regard to keeping dead links in references. Also, when making edits in an article, please include an edit summary, briefly explaining what you changed and your motive for applying the changes. Thanks - Arjuno (talk 12:58, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you seem to be correct that the contents of the article referred to does not seem related. However, instead of just deleting the incorrect citations, and leave part of the article unreferenced, it is preferable to search for the correct reference and replace the incorrect ones. In this case the correct ICRC reference appears to be: Haiti earthquake: reaching victims outside the capital. Could you take care of correcting the reference? If you do, please use the "Edit summary" field to explain to others why these references needed to be replaced (something like "Replacing incorrect references" should do). Thanks!
