New Page Patrol survey

New page patrol – Survey Invitation

Hello TYelliot! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.

  • If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
  • If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.

Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.

You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey. Global message delivery 13:29, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

New Page Triage engagement strategy released

Hey guys!

I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox - okeyes wikimedia.org.

It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:43, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Your false accusation of vandalism

You have accused me of vandalism. Have you actually checked the edit in question? If you had you would see that it is clearly not vandalism. 75.14.219.203 (talk) 20:21, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Both my mentor and myself have made a mistake here. Sorry about that. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 20:36, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Re-edit on He Kexin

You said you have issues with the edits but the only edits were on her age which has been resolved. See the talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.38.213.212 (talk) 15:26, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Message received. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 15:28, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

White Hart Lane

Okay, fair play, i'll stop now, please don't block me, I like to keep the fixtures etc updated. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.66.174 (talk) 18:11, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Your request to block 129.15.131.141

Hi. I have declined for now your request[1] at WP:AIV to block this IP. I looked at these edits and I can't tell if they're vandalism or not. Can you explain your rationale a little more? This IP has made many stadium edits and you're the only person, so far, to spot a problem with them. Also, I notice you went straight to a level 3 (the first time) and then a level 4 warning (the second time) -- any particular reason?

Thanks, --A. B. (talkcontribs) 19:56, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

I am not the only person to spot a problem. User:MDSanker also deemed those edits as unnecessary as there is no need to append the number of people the stadium can hold to the name of the stadium. However, if that is indeed Wikipedia policy then please tell me! Thanks. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 19:59, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
We don't block people for adding stadium seating capacities! Do you have any reason to believe this person is editing in bad faith?
Have you tried to explain your reasoning to this person? Do we even have a rule about this or is it just you and MDSanker's opinion? I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the idea -- I'm just trying to understand why you would try to block an industrious person from trying to add to Wikipedia in good faith without at least trying to engage with them first.
Please take a look at WP:NOTVANDAL.--A. B. (talkcontribs) 20:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
That page explained it well. I guess there is no need to block him. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 20:12, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

NCAA Football

Thanks for undoing the edits by the ip fool I have been trying to undo as much as I can that this one keep doing. MDSanker 20:21, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

I suggest you two nicely try to reach some sort of consensus with this IP about how our football articles should look. That would save a lot of wasted effort on his and your parts. --A. B. (talkcontribs) 20:33, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Not Vandalism

You have accused me of vandalism. The edits are not unconstructive.Shreyas.shridhar (talk) 20:23, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Understood. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 20:23, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Some baklava for you!

hi there!

you asked for reason for removal on Sharyl Attkisson: the discussion for removal is discussed at length on the talk page (but you will have to try to see what has been erased on the talk page as well, because the biased editors Red Pen of Doom and Yobol have deleted relevant parts of the discussion):the sentence clearly violates wiki policy as discussed, but the biased bullies who have stronger editing privileges simply keep attempting to prevail. Let's say there is a difference of opinion in the "community" between the biased editors, who are likely paid propagandists, and the non-biased editors who believe the sentence doesn't belong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EagleSoars (talkcontribs) 20:50, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Vandal

See the user has made this recent post. Zepppep (talk) 05:59, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for telling me. I wouldn't have noticed. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 06:02, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Removing AfD template

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Bsmpss. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  07:00, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Help Me Please

Hello TYelliot, you have selected Deepak Kumar Dwivedi article for article of deletion catagory. I need help to make this notice remove.

I have nominated it for deletion because it does not fit Wikipedia policy re. secondary sources. If you would like to save the page, go to the discussion (the link is on the notice) and express your views. However, do not take down the notice yourself until the discussion is closed. Doing so repeatedly may result in blocking. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 10:02, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Adil Ray

Hello, I'm TYelliot. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Adil Ray without explaining why.

You'll notice that I only removed that content which I myself added a minute earlier. I was merely trying some layout options as Adil has asked me to make some format changes.
If you would like to try layout options, please go to WP:SANDBOX for sandbox edits. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 15:05, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

I am not doing vandalism

My version of Catalonia does not have a doubled parentheses (incorrect) and your version have it. Other statements about Catalonia may be not the best for an introduction, but they are correct (yours and mine). So my version is correct (probably it can be improved) while your version is not correct (it has doubled parentheses). Stop warning me please and accept my edition!--80.31.94.245 (talk) 15:56, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

I was more concerned about your claim that Catalonia is a country in Europe. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 16:09, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Citation needed on Folding@home

Regarding this, what exactly do you think needs a citation? There are two parts to that sentence, which one are your referring to, or is it the whole thing entirely? • Jesse V.(talk) 16:06, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

'These simulations have demonstrated accuracy to observations in laboratory research; this is often considered a challenge in computational biology.'
This bit of text needs a citation. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 16:12, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, but do you want a citation for the accuracy statement, or the statement that it's challenging to be accurate? Or both? Knowing this will help me track down proper sources if I can't confirm it with what's already in the article. • Jesse V.(talk) 16:19, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Both, please. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 16:29, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Judenstern

Hi! Thanks for helping with reverting edits by Coldplayfan27. I was wondering what's up with the "This user is not a Jew" notice on your user page. Regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:55, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome. I'm always here to help! TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 12:57, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
So what's up with the Judenstern on your user page? Robby.is.on (talk) 21:53, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Misplaced vandalism warning to User:Dellice?

I note you recently issued a level-four vandalism warning to User:Dellice. However, I don't see any vandalism, nor any pattern of behaviour that would merit a level-four warning. Judging from the user's comments, their removal of the copyright violation templates was done in good faith (though admittedly with great negligence, considering the template itself prominently warns users not to remove it). Is it possible you issued the wrong template warning by mistake? —Psychonaut (talk) 13:27, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

I did intend to warn the user for removing a copyvio notice. However, I was carrying that out using Huggle, which had interpreted the previous first instance warning as a level 3 warning. I then warned the user once again, accidentally placing a level 4 because of Huggle's misinterpretation. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 14:00, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Little Audrey

I noticed there is a content dispute on Little Audrey. Could you help by getting a discussion started on the article talk page? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:55, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Energy Charter Treaty

While I appreciate your timely fix of the page, I was just about to reformat the size of it. The map you have restored is outdated and inaccurate as well as not very aesthetic. Just give me a minute, I'm a new editor, to learn how to format images in a timely fashion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainad (talkcontribs) 12:38, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Absolutely. Carry on with your good faith edits! However, if you would like to see what it looks like after your changes, please use the Preview button. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 12:39, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Tracy Robertson Submission

Thanks. 24.227.93.118 (talk) 18:26, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately my approval of the article was actually a mistake and not compliant with Wikipedia policy. See WP:ATH and my edit summary of the last revision for details.
Mistake?? I thought it was a good article and I put sources that I can find. 24.227.93.118 (talk) 18:34, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Has he appeared in at least one game in a fully professional league (the NFL in this case). If so, show me the source. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 18:39, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
He's a rookie in the NFL out of Baylor. Not Yet. 24.227.93.118 (talk) 18:41, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Since it is foreseeable that his appearance will take place soon, I think it is appropriate to allow the article to remain on Wikipedia, given the fact that it does not violate WP:CRYSTAL. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 18:45, 29 August 2012 (UTC) Well Ok then, Thanks. 24.227.93.118 (talk) 23:21, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

my article on Kosher Register

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Kosheryankel/sandbox

thanks TYelliot for reviewing my article. Could you help me with this? This is the second time my article was declined for lack of resources. What possible resources could I add? These are all the ones I found in the web. I hope you can help me with this. Thank you!Kosheryankel (talk) 03:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome. Sometimes, if you really struggle to find reliable sources online, you could turn to non-electronic sources such as books or newspapers. If there is nothing out there that satisfies the requirements of Wikipedia, then perhaps the subject doesn't deserve an article. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 03:53, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
thank you for that! Kosheryankel (talk) 05:45, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Don't forget to supply ISBNs for books you cite from. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 05:46, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
ok!Kosheryankel (talk) 05:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Aww, come on, bro!

If you felt my contribution wasn't "constructive" enough, you clearly haven't seen one single film that Steven C. Miller has had anything to do with. It's like watching a retarded pig roll around in it's own food trough, only the food trough is filled with it's own feces. Granted, you may not agree with me now, but I'm quite certain that if you view his IMDB reviews...well, you will see that every word I speak is the truth. This is not slander, good sir, this is the cold hard facts. I say good day to you, sir. Good day! (That, and I already took a screen shot of my edit, which is fair enough on all accounts in my book!) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.200.71.177 (talk) 08:00, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Whilst you (and perhaps certain critics) may have found that the actor in question produces a substandard performance, it is not appropriate to make personal attacks against the actor. Rather, you may wish to quote what the critics have said about his performance. While improving the article, please note that writing from a neutral point of view is important, especially in biographies of living persons. TYelliot | Talk | Contribs 08:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Hmmmm...fair enough, fair enough. Well played sir, the day goes to you. (Sorry if this isn't the proper way to respond, couldn't quite figure it out and I'm too sleepy to try.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.200.71.177 (talk) 08:11, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
