Little context in Template:CentralAsianmusic edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Template:CentralAsianmusic, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Template:CentralAsianmusic is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Template:CentralAsianmusic, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Image copyright problem with Image:AlfonsoDoce.ogg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:AlfonsoDoce.ogg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --08:23, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Master Juba edit

Thanks for your help at Master Juba, and sorry for the edit conflicts. Seems you and I are both copy editing at the same time! No worries, though; I've got to head off for the next hour or so, so have at it. Maybe leave a note in your edit summary when you're though, and I'll take over. History of Indiana review edit

Thanks for your review of the History of Indiana article. I was impressed by how thorough you were and by the number of good suggestions you had. I'm not doing much with that article anymore, but even when I look at it I can't really read it because I've seen it too many times. A new set of eyes is certainly a useful thing to have, especially when those eyes belong to someone who is able and willing to identify mistakes. Thanks again! Proposed deletion of Duncan Swift edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Duncan Swift, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Ziggy Sawdust 02:59, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I Want To Be There (When You Come) edit

You recently moved "I Want To Be There (When You Come)" to "I Want to Be There (When You Come)" however point 2.3 of Capitalization at WP:MUSTARD states that prepostions that are part "part of a two-word phrasal verb" should still be capitalized, "To Be" is such a verb. --JD554 (talk) 13:35, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:LLCoolJRadio.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LLCoolJRadio.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

RCC FAC edit

I am sorry I did not give you a better response in my first attempt. Your comments are valid and valued and as you can see from the edit history, we have made changes in the text to try and comply with your requests. Please help us create an FA and come to an agreement on wording. I have answered your request for links to the discussions on the Creed, the comments are on the bottom of the FAC page, not directly under your FAC comments. NancyHeise (talk) 03:33, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I also posted this note at the bottom of the FAC page for you: "TufKat, I have just gone through again and made changes to the areas of concern to you that I think will meet to your satisfaction. Xandar has also addressed a couple of points and Gimmetrow has been a tremendous help here as well. Please take another look at the particular areas of concern you have listed because we have made changes to each area you tagged in your comments. Thanks for your comments, I apologize if we were a little slow and reluctant to make changes, our fault." Please come back. NancyHeise (talk) 05:25, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

RCC FAC edit

This message is being sent to all opposers of the Roman Catholic Church FAC. Thank you for taking the time to come see the page and give us your comments. I apologize for any drama caused by my imperfect human nature. As specified in WP:FAC, I am required to encourage you to come see the page and decide if your oppose still stands. Ceoil and others have made changes to prose and many edits have been made to address FAC reviewers comments like yours. Thank you. NancyHeise (talk) 23:56, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The featured list contest edit

Thanks for entering the contest. You are now able to select the topic that you would like to work on. While it is a good idea to know which specific list you will work on before you select a topic, you do not have to submit your list until Thursday. Once you have a topic and a list, you can start work. However, you will not be able to submit an FLC until Sunday at 00:00 (GMT). Good luck and have fun! -- Scorpion0422 18:15, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is just a quick reminder that you still need to pick a topic and a list. -- Scorpion0422 02:03, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Feature Article Candidate Roman Catholic Church edit

The nomination of the above article was archived by the Featured Articles Director, with the comment that the page had again grown too long. He has asked that all remaining objectors produce a list of their specific problems with the article in its current form. These will then be addressed by the article's editorial team before re-presentation for FA status.
Can you therefore please post a complete list of any specific remaining objections you may have on the article's talk page at: Talk:Roman_Catholic_Church. If possible can we have this list in by the end of June, so that editors can begin to address them all in detail in July. To prevent the nomination again becoming over-long, we would ask that you raise ALL of your remaining concerns at this stage, making your comments as specific and comprehensive as possible. It would help if all your comments were gathered under your name in a single heading on the page. Thank you. Xandar (talk) 00:51, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Musical instrument infobox edit

I'm curious to hear more about what ideas you have. I might be able to sling together some code. Have you seen User:Pipian/My Sandbox? --Laser brain (talk) 05:40, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

It appears that the user who designed the musical instrument infoboxes, Pipian, has stopped editing. He hasn't been around in two months. Can we leverage his ideas at all? And what is involved in replacing existing infoboxes with new ones? --Laser brain (talk) 15:36, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank You edit

Thank you. I nominated Evden eve nakliyat 3 times, until you deleted it. Thank you. I am new to this. If this happens again, where do I report this user/article. The creator of the article removed the deletion tag twice. My question is, how/where do I report this kind of act?

Page titles edit

hi Tuf-kat. I see there are plenty of pages called things like Timeline of music in the United States (1880 - 1919).. You know, at the very least, there shouldn't be a space between 1880 and the hyphen, and then between the hyphen and 1919. Moreover, it should use and – (en-dash) between the years. Right now you even have a conflict between the article title and the template used in each article (regarding spaces/hyphens etc). The Rambling Man (talk) 21:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
