Blocked edit

I’ve blocked your account on this project, because even after my warning, you kept insisting on a rename on en.wiki’s admin noticeboard. Importing cross-wiki drama to this project is not acceptable and trying to use our processes to overrule a decisions on other projects is even less so. If you wish to appeal this block, you may do so, but please follow the instructions at WP:GAB. TonyBallioni (talk) 13:29, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Re made fun of me being blocked? If you knew what has happened to me and how my health is etc... you'd not make fun of me but but support me in my struggle to get my real name erased from wikipedia. its easy if you're anonymous. but think about that you can hurt people DEEPLY with words.

I don't know why you think I was making fun of you; personally, I think an indef for one comment is—blunt, shall we say. However, it's well within policy, and a reviewing admin might take a different view. Indeed, the blocking admin has effectively already told you what to say. On the other hand, even if you are unblocked, the fundamental truth is that there seems no way to achieve your ends on this wiki. Since it is nearly two years since you were blocked on de.wp, your best bet, surely, would be to appeal there, as per, and then request a global rename—even if you never intend to edit any wiki again, you'll have the piece of mind you seek. I’m assuming Serial Number 54129 was referencing this when discussing what to say to get unblocked, but I’ll say it to you directly: just commit to not pursuing renames on en.wiki and I or another administrator will unblock. Blocks are not punitive here, and I have no problem with unblocking once you agree to stop. The simple fact is that you haven’t edited this project in 3.5 years, and you come here seeking a rename that would have been rejected on your home wiki and was rejected on meta, and then continue pushing even when told to stop. That’s not how this process is supposed to work. Once you indicate you get that, you can be unblocked here. TonyBallioni (talk) 14:13, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
D'oh. Wrong link, indeed; many thanks. ——SerialNumber54129 14:16, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I won’t be replying directly to your emails. I’ll try to explain where we are:
  • An email was sent to the global renamers (I won’t say by whom) objecting to your rename.
  • The rename was discussed by the global renamers.
  • The global renamers decided that because of your ban on de.wiki, the rename should be reversed.
  • If you wish to be renamed, you should do it on de.wiki, either by appealing the ban, or by requesting they discuss your rename in an open way there.
I’m sorry if my English is complex. I tried to explain it as simple as I could. As I said, if you agree not to request a rename here, I will unblock you. I’m sorry if the situation is awkward, but dealing with the de.wiki issues is your first step. TonyBallioni (talk) 14:40, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
