Fair use disputed for Image:Gussie Busch.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Gussie Busch.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. wpktsfs 23:02, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Citations edit

You have done some really good work on the Busch family that I don't want to see go to waste. Many very good pages get deleted through the WP:AFD procedures when references are added at the bottom of the page instead of inline as footnotes. You can see on any of the good articles on my user page (click on my name) to see how to use the <ref> tags. I hope you have the time to clean up your pages and protect them from scrutiny and possible deletion. Also, the infobox you provided shows Children none. I went to the same Tae Kwon Do school as Gussie (the fifth) when I lived in St. Louis in the late 90s.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 00:28, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Navy Supply Corps (United States) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Navy Supply Corps (United States), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Navy Supply Corps. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Image copyright problem with Image:USN Supply Corps Insignia.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:USN Supply Corps Insignia.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:00, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:NAVELSG_Seal.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:NAVELSG_Seal.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 16:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

About "Blackrobe" (copied from DeSmet JHS talk page) edit

I noticed that you worked on this section, so I thought I'd cross-post this here as well as the article talk: Given that WP already has an article on Fr. DeSmet, I would suggest that this section should be trimmed a little bit, and if possible, an explanation added for why it was chosen to name the school after him. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
