January 2009 edit

Hello, SuzanneIAM, the recent series of edits you've made at the Anne Boleyn article don't look especially productive and I've reverted them. Please think about the following in future edits:

  • Please review our policies and guidelines on neutral point of view, no original research, verifiability and use of reliable sources. It's not OK for you to just change the article to what you think it should say or what you think really happened. You need to back it up with references.
  • It's generally unwise to make changes to text that is directly followed by a source (<ref> tag/footnote), since it makes it appear that your new version is what appears in the source text. It's best to discuss these kind of changes on the article talk page so other editors can comment.
  • Please provide informative edit summaries. I find it best to make changes section-by-section or topic-by-topis and use the edit summary field to describe exactly why I am making the changes.
  • You are free to add a {{npov}} tag to the page, but you should also add a talk page thread outlining your specific reasons for adding it. Otherwise, you run the risk that someone else will disagree and remove the tag without discussion.
  • There really isn't an "independent Wiki editorial board" - we are all collectively the editorial board, and we meet on article talk pages to discuss and resolve problems. There are many avenues to resolve disputes, which I can point you to, but my friendly advice is that you get a little more experience with the editing process here before you try those avenues.
  • Although you've had this account for some time, there aren't many edits, so I'm including a Welcome message which may provide some helpful links.

Hope some of this helps! Franamax (talk) 00:49, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 5 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Venus de' Medici, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Peterhof (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:23, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

August 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Jasper Tudor may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • *[[Helen Tudor]] (by Mevanvy or Myvanwy ferch N (b. Wales c. 1459, d. bef. 1485), wife of a [[Skinner (profession)|

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 11:44, 30 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
