Hannibal and syphilis

edit

Hi Susanne44. Sorry to see that you wandered into a potential edit war. The key thing to do right now is -- absolutely nothing. Do not continue to correct the article. Let experienced editors hash it out. I see Maunus is already there, and Paul August will probably weigh in soon. You don't wanna keep deleting the same text, generally speaking, because that's a good way to end up getting in trouble for WP:3RR. You can add your name on Talk:Hannibal to those who oppose any mention of the syphilis, but I suggest that you don't get long-winded. It is altogether too easy to get sucked into a pointless argument, especially since you are a relatively new editor... I am very sorry to hear that you may stop editing Wikipedia. I hope you won't. Just sit back and let more experienced people work this out. If spurious info sits on Hannibal's Wikipedia page for an evening or two, well, that won't be the end of the civilized world. :-) And I think this will soon be resolved in that manner that you have suggested. Let me know if you have more questions or need more help. I am happy to help you come aboard here.  Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 13:13, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
