Westchester Torah Academy

Hello Susan, I did some analysis on the sources for this one. Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Westchester_Torah_Academy. Suggest you write about the Rabbi, instead of the school? Or maybe more sources exist, and just need to be found. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 14:00, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

BestGuyMoving , versus Guy the founder

edit

Hey there Susan, I looked over BestGuy, and there don't seem to be any online sources, at all. I found three or four independent reliable sources that mention the *founder* of the company, but they are from *before* the company was founded. That doesn't mean there are no sources out there... sometimes sources are offline, rather than online... but I would be shocked if there are a lot of academic studies, or journalism, about BestGuy that is *not* online, given it was founded in 2008.

Anyways, I'm not seeing much evidence that BestGuy is ready to be an article in wikipedia, because they just haven't generated enough press yet, which is specifically about their company. That can change, if they get some famous clients, or start getting written up in Forbes or IncMagazine as a small biz to watch, or hosting newsworthy charity events, or similar. Doesn't make the company bad, of course, just means they're not Huge Enough yet. Wikipedia is not the way to get huge; wikipedia *reflects* hugeness, but never creates it. (Exception: the key founder of wikipedia, Jimbo Wales, is definitely an example of wikipedia *creating* hugeness.) You can potentially find some articles where the Christian Science Monitor source is useful, per WP:NOTEWORTHY, but the article about BestGuyMoving is definitely WP:NOTYET. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 14:41, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/BestGuy Moving Services

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/BestGuy Moving Services, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. DGG ( talk ) 08:27, 23 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
