The article How Strategy Shapes Structure has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- An article.... about an article? Not seeing any credible claims to notability.....
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - I'm not quite following why you said "There is nothing promotional about the wikipedia article you have deleted...". While we do delete articles for that reason, that wasn't the reason it was deleted. The article was deleted because someone questioned whether the article adequately asserted notability, and no one objected tot he proposed deletion.
- I have restored it. However, I agree that there are concerns about Notability. One of the key sentences in that guidelines states:
- If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject...
- The article has three references, one of which is to the article itself, so obviously not independent of the subject. The second is not independent of the subject. The third may be, but isn't obviously coverage of the subject. I'm telling you this so that you can look for independent coverage if it exists. If it does not, and the article is listed as a candidate for deletion, it may not survive (The deletion decision I implemented was a different process, and can be overturned by something as simple as you asking for it to be restored. In contrast, if there is a consensus to delete in an AfD process, and that would be likely, it is much more difficult to restore.)--SPhilbrickT 22:57, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi SPhilbrick, This is all a bit new to me. If an article is published by a third party independent of the authors, why do I need to cite notation? You mean if someone decides to quote the article? But the article is a free standing published document by itself...? I will try to find a quote but I don't really understand why. Please explain. Thanks, Katrina
