Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to California State University, Dominguez Hills does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Bahooka (talk) 17:44, 6 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.   Hello, I'm DEFCON5. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Cornell Law School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. defcon5 (talk) 04:54, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Surance! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Cornell Law School that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. defcon5 (talk) 04:55, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dear Cullen328, I saw you removed my images, all images had evidence/source within the images. Kindly unblock me and restore images.
Should I post images under separate headings? I am a supporter and donor of/for Wikipedia but may not be very expert in editing, so I request your guidance and help. welcome to email: sjsu953@yahoo.com Please confirm and thanks. Surance (talk) 01:01, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Surance If Erbe is a colleague, your employer, or any other external connection, you are required to disclose it — your promotional editing give the impression of an undisclosed COI. You might want to see WP:COI. GuardianH (talk) 02:23, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dear GuardianH:
I have authored/edited few books with Nancy Erbe. I am a long time supporter and regularly donate to Wikipedia. I enjoy articles on Wikipedia and in 2015 uploaded numerous pictures of flowers of brazil ( my work). I have edited only 3-4 wikipedia pages. I am a retired Lt. Col. and lead a semi-retired life. Nancy Erbe is well established just search her on Wikipedia Author, even Cited by Canadian Supreme Court. I felt bad when comments of "exaggeration of unnoteworthy" were made. Images which were existing on her Wikipedia page for 10+ years were suddenly removed. Are not most promoting themselves on Wikipedia? All images posted had evidence of source/noteworthiness. I am not an expert at editing. I will take a break and will write later to Wikipedia team. If can you help fix this, kindly share this with demonstrators. I will appreciate your guidance/response. I read your editor page and commend your work at a young age. Welcome to communicate at sjsu953@yahoo.com. Thanks Surance (talk) 02:43, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
PS: I am not her employee and not do I employ her. I am not her co-worker/ colleague. If you can fix this for me, I will be grateful or send help/link. Hope this helps and thanks.

You will not be unblocked until you follow the instructions at WP:GAB precisely and persuade an adminstrator that you understand our content policies. I have not edited the article at all and have not removed any photos. My only involvement was to block your account as a result of the evidence about you presented at WP:ANI. You ask Are not most promoting themselves on Wikipedia? The answer is a resounding No. Promotional editing is strictly forbidden on Wikipedia and promotional editors get blocked every single day. As an adminstrator, I have personally blocked nearly 10,000 such accounts. We have content policies and the relevant one here is the Neutral point of view, which you have violated repeatedly. It must come to a stop. As for your financial support, nobody on the English Wikipedia cares in the slightest whether or not you have donated to the Wikimedia Foundation, which is a different organization. Financial support or the lack thereof has zero impact on the content in English Wikipedia or any other language. Cullen328 (talk) 03:15, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
