Request reason:

This block is being contested. It is based on the fact that according to the block: "You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion." The link that was inserted under ‘External Links’ does not fit the definition of spam, promotion or advertising. It’s my understanding that the defintion of Spam is: "Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages" The link was certainly no bulk message. The definition of advertising contains: "Articles considered advertisements include those that are solicitations for a business, product or service, or are public relations pieces designed to promote a company or individual." The site www.supportfortheshort.org does not promote any business, product, service or individual and it is not an external link to a commercial website for any type of financial gain. It is a website (One of the few) that deals with the topic of heightism exclusively and most definitely belongs in the article on ‘Heightism’ under 'External Links'. You may go to the site itself for verification. Thank you very much. Supportingshortpeople (talk) 03:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Wikipedia defines spam a little differently - please see WP:SPAM. Regardless of the content of the site, your edits are exclusively directed towards adding links to your site, which does not appear to have any immediate encyclopedic value. This is not acceptable according to our policies. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 04:02, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
