List of universities in Bangladesh edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! Your recent edits in List of universities in Bangladesh article has been reverted. You included three universities in the list including Barisal University - establishment of which is ongoing. Other two univs you added are proposed only. The list is maintained to enlist functioning universities of Bangladesh only. Please note that, functioning and university. Your effort is appreciated and welcome you to improve the list and add these universities whenever they become functioning. --নাফী ম. সাধ nafSadhtalk | contribs 19:59, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

'Barisal University' is going to operation from the next academic. 'Bangabandhu University of Science and Technology' is now recruiting faculties and will go to operation next academic year also. and Bangabondhu Maritime University (former Marine academy) is functioning. so I think my changes are ok in this perspective. Thanks for concerning me.

I mentioned functioning not will be functionion. It is the long established standard for the list and shall not be changed without a consensus of previous contributors.
Your edit was undid by Ragib and I affirmed his act; so there is already a consensus against your edit.
Generally recommended steps of inclusion in the list is article in Wikipedia about the univ -:> inclusion is public or private univ template -:> inclusion in the list. Doing all three will need less than a day.
So, we will add these universities immediately as they starts functioning.
You are welcome (or better say requested) to start articles for these universities. we all welcome each other to contribute :)
You can also introduce a section in the bottom of the article, titling 'Proposed universities', where these universities can be mentioned with no other detail. --nafSadh did say 14:48, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

November 2013 edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. 220 of Borg 18:36, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
