Speedy deletion nomination of Amen (band of Peru)

edit

A tag has been placed on Amen (band of Peru) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JNW (talk) 13:22, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Amen (band of Peru). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You can't simply remove templates you don't agree with. OlYellerTalktome 15:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Amén

I have nominated Amén, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amén. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Libre(álbum)

edit

A tag has been placed on Libre(álbum) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Could you provide some reliable third party sources to verify the notability of the band? The reason it's up for deletion is because it doesn't meet the notability criteria of WP:BAND. -Reconsider! 01:33, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amén

edit

Since you seem fairly new to the encyclopedia, I thought I would help by explaining the problem with this article. To be included, you need to prove that this article meets the notability criteria for musical groups - that is, that the band is important enough to deserve an article. You cannot simply say it is, please read the criteria and make sure you fulfil at least one of the points. You also need to prove that the band is verifiable, and that you can cite the source for you information to a reliable source. If you read through these policies and make sure that the article meets them, it will go along way to preventing deletion. Even if the article is deleted, I hope you will not let it put you off Wikipedia. Hope this helped! strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 12:55, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Will not sock again!I need help, give me a chance. All I want is to create one article (Amen (band of Peru)) which I really improved since the 27 may! I put a lot of reference and also changed other things. Who can help me?

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked if your sole intent is to continue to reintroduce an article about a non-notable band. You would think that you are involved in the band with the way you're pushing this so hard. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:17, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again.
