Hi sulfurboy,

Thank you for reviewing my article so quickly and efficiently.

I am writing to you in regards to the rejection of the article MUSE Design Awards. Your comment for the rejection is 'Run of the mill advert for a non-notable awards'. While I find it derogatory and extremely unprofessional even for a Wikipedia moderator, I understand the reason and the conflict of interest behind this, and I would like to enquire about how to get this article be validated as quickly as possible.

I would like to ask: how and what should I do to approve and further verify this article so as to get it approved? If your suggestions involve 'get as big as the Grammy Awards' or anything that insinuates that this awards competition is not important enough to be on Wikipedia, I would be heavily disappointed; I want suggestions and advice, not cynicism from behind a keyboard moderator.

I hope to hear from you soon. Do tell me how to improve and articulate the article I have written so that it could exist in this website, just like the Drinking Out of Cups song, which is a run of the mill track for a non-notable album.

Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iaa2020 (talkcontribs) 09:06, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Laura Woods - Sports Broadcaster

Hi Sulfurboy,

Josh again with regards to the Laura Woods Sports Broadcaster page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Laura_Woods_(sports_broadcaster)

Thanks for your swift response. As requested I haven't edited the article and have declared on my user paid my business. I do not directly earn from Laura Woods. I represent a number of sports broadcasters and noticed she doesn't have a Wikipedia page. Lots of her peers do, with sources no better than the ones I have listed in her article, but yet have established pages.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Cates https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirsty_Gallacher https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Griffith_(comedian)

There are many more examples - all of which use similar stories.

I have pretty much exhausted the sources I can for Laura, I cannot believe that the quantity and quality isn't sufficient to at least start her page... I would really love to get this put to bed as she is certainly within the brackets of being worthy of a Wikipedia page...

Έλενα Χριστάκου (talk) 15:00, 13 May 2020 (UTC) My submission at Articles for creation: Thanos Stavridis (May 6)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Thanos_Stavridis

Hello Sulfurboy,

Could you please help me with some clarifications or one - two examples on why the content of my submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations? I have read Referencing for beginners and I have cited my sources using footnotes. So I can't understand what is the problem ...

Will you help me?

Thanks in advance Elena

All claims in a BLP that could possibly be challenged need to have inline citations. The vast majority of the article has no inline citations. Sulfurboy (talk) 16:54, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Sorry (@Sulfurboy) Wrong drafts about my page! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Waymad-Beatz)

Hi @Sulfurboy, I was passing by when I realized that there's a line saying : Hello, I warn that the accounts responsible for the drafts Waymad-Beatz (Musical Artist), Waymad-Beatz and Draft:Waymad-Beatz (Waymad) were globally blocked by cross-wiki spam. I believe that it is valid to eliminate drafts. Edmond Dantès d'un message? 14:30, 7 May 2020 (UTC) Please, see too: User:Victor Pereira/Blackout (Waymad - EP). Edmond Dantès d'un message? 14:30, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

Well, me and my brother we are a huge waymad-beatz's fan we have his cd, tshirt, photos with him we became fans since his 1st appearance on MTV challenge. I do admit that I was trying to create yes all of those pages over there, but I had no experience at all, I didnt take this thing serious in the very beginning , as you can see some of these drafts, they have no sources, I just had no ideia about how to create a decent page. I've made a mistake, created another accounts I definitely had no ideia how to create a good content here in order to following up wikipedia rules. So yes, as you can see there a huge difference in this Draft:Waymad-Beatz because I got the idea about how you want us to create contents/page. I do agree that the Draft (Waymad-Beatz (Musical Artist)) ,Draft:Waymad-Beatz(Waymad) both should be deteled specially because i didnt know how to submit them for a review, I did not know what was a Sandbox, so I was just creating one by one to figure it out (it was my mistake I do apologize a lot for that!). And I was doing the same in portuguese without realizing where was the mistake i did not meant to be disrespectful and break any of wikipedia guidance.

But now.. its not fair, at all.. delete Waymad-Beatz because I got all of the sources that you require for, tv sources ,magazine sources, even today i just found a new press release sources , I realized that on wiki is about doing things 'slowly' respectfull and the most importand showing the evidence about what we are writing on, thats why there no comparison between this Draft:Waymad-Beatz to the other ones.

it was my bad , the other accounts and other drafts I didn't know that it was accumulating 'drafts' I was pretty new out here. I've learn from my mistakes with this Draft:Waymad-Beatz and it's not fair being deleted or whatsoever, because everything you ask for is in there.

Thank you, have an amazing day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riknenborg (talkcontribs) 18:48, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Riknenborg, I'm unclear as to why you're telling me all of this. Did I previously review one of the pages you are talking about?Sulfurboy (talk) 20:23, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
Sulfurboy, Hoi @Sulfurboy, 1st of all thank you for replying :) you are right no not yet.

I just wanted to apologize for trying to create another pages without sources nor a properly configuration. But this newest Draft:Waymad-Beatz is my redemption I worked really hard to make it proper for your review. I believe that when you read about it and check out sources by sources you'll allow this page to get in. But anyway just wanted to say sorry for some other unnecessary drafts without knowing well what I was doing. That's it, I will wait for your final decision about my draft. Thank you have a good night!

Hi, Please review the two articles.

Stupid G13 Notices

Thank you for the good-faith action of removing it, but I would prefer not to have it removed. I get an email notification that there is a message on my talk page, so that I then go to the history to determine what the notice was that I can no longer see. I will see that I got a stupid notice anyway, and can ignore it and then include it in a manual archive once a quarter. Thank you for trying to help. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:20, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Animal Products in Pharmaceuticals

Dear Sulfurboy,

I recently submitted a draft page 'Animal Products in Pharmaceuticals'[1] but it was declined. I saw that you commented that "Much of the article is contradicts the title. The article is called "animal products in pharmaceuticals", yet many things that are listed here aren't pharmaceuticals. One talks about ingredients for soap. The other is about fortified milk, etc." You make a good point with milk fortification under the vitamin section. It is not technically a pharmaceutical, so I went ahead and removed it. The second specific point you mention is soap, which is technically a pharmaceutical. One source I have used to understand soap is the US FDA, which states that soap, when it meets certain specifications, is a pharmaceutical and not a cosmetic.[2]Since I was only speaking of soap generally, and in the context of pharmaceuticals, I do not understand how it could be understood as anything but a pharmaceutical. I am wondering if there is a specific definition of soap you are using, based on which my article was declined? Other than milk fortification which I have removed, I cannot find anything else on this page that is not a pharmaceutical, as you have suggested. Can you please share your perspective and advise on next steps? If nothing else, I would have liked for this page to at least become a stub, so more qualified editors can bring it to full fruition as an article.

Thank you, Skubydoo (talk) 17:54, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Skubydoo, " I do not understand how it could be understood as anything but a pharmaceutical" is a bad arguement just by virtue that I didn't get that, and thus it's reasonable other readers would have the same problem :). I think there's also an issue with the strict definition of pharmaceutical and the colloquial definition. I interpret pharmaceutical as any drug that requires a prescription, that of course could just be a regional thing though. You may want lay out in the lead what the FDA definition of a pharmaceutical is or whatever you're going by for the article.
There is also a fine line of advocacy you are skirting here. Example: "The religious, cultural, and ethical concerns of patients are increasing in importance as the use of animal products in pharmaceuticals, particularly the use of biologics, rise." is not supported by the inline cite you list at the end of it. If there is concerns across the board in these areas, then you need to find reliable sources to support that statement.
Those are the two issues I still see. I think it's an important subject and deserving of an article, I'm just trying to help you get it squared away, as I'm worried if it went to mainspace someone would either nominate it for deletion or gut it in some type of way. A couple other suggestions (although not required):
1) I would tie in the inactive ingredients to popular pharmaceuticals that use those ingredients.
2) I would focus a little more on animal product use in actual active ingredients (if there is any), majority of the article focuses on inactive ingredients, but maybe that's what they're mostly used for?
Just tweak those couple things and resubmit or ping me. Sulfurboy (talk) 00:36, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Dan Margalit (mathematician)

I wanted to let you know that I did a fair bit of reworking on Draft:Dan Margalit (mathematician). I didn't see any major NPOV problems remaining, so I removed the COI tag that you put on the article a week or so ago. If you don't feel that's justified, please feel free to retag and/or reply here with your concerns. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 17:47, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Russ Woodroofe, Looks good enough for the tags to be removed. I'm going to pass on reviewing it as this time though, as I'm on the fence notability wise and it'd probably be better for a reviewer better versed in mathematics to review it. Sulfurboy (talk) 00:38, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Afc work

Hello, I noticed you rejected this Draft:Ololade Adesola CMC & of course anyone would have but I do have a question for you; why didn’t you go on to tag the draft article with a G11 or do you share my philosophy of not using CSD tags on articles submitted through the AFC process as that might be cruel? I was just curious tbh. Celestina007 (talk) 21:53, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Celestina007, I find that if actually looks like a wiki article then it's more likely the CSD will be declined. I have no issue with using CSDs and in fact do it at a rate of four or five a day since I started tracking it. As such, since I already probably clog up the CSD queue enough, I typically only nominate if I'm 99% certain it will be deleted. Sulfurboy (talk) 21:59, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Questions re Submission declined Helge Ragnar Ulaa Naarstad

I am really surprised of the declined submission of this biography. It states that Naarstad does not have the notability enough. Naarstad was listed as one of the 14 cruiseline executives and legends of the industry by the bible of the industry cruiseindustrynews.com We need to go through the reasons in detail but wonder if all references like New York Times etc, are not considered reliable and independent? Its my first article so I guess there is lots to learn, and some advice here would be appreciated. Also, there is no external relationship between me and Mr Naarstad Thanks! When creating this article I used the article of Torstein Hagen as my "template" and if Hagen qualified for an article I am not sure if I understand how Naarstads has been declined — Preceding unsigned comment added by Idacausa (talkcontribs) 22:56, 16 May 2020 (UTC) Idacausa (talk) 22:48, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Idacausa, I never said whether or not the person is notable. I said the sources provided do not demonstrate notability. An industry specific website discussing someone in their industry is not very compelling and you suggesting it as a reason for passing notability demonstrates that you might need to review our notability guidelines. Routine matters, such as hiring announcements in the NYT article also do not demonstrate notability. And I wouldn't worry about other articles, see WP:INN and instead focus on your own. NKN(software) deletion

Hi Sulfurboy, I saw the "Nomination of NKN (software) for deletion" from you. Could you please tell me how to improve the article and prevent from being deleted? thanks!

Maxchangyuchih (talk) 05:33, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Maxchangyuchih, The subject isn't notable, thus no level of improvement will somehow denote notability. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:18, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Sulfurboy, well the notability is somewhat arguable, given that someone did accept it, so I guess it should move to draftspace until notability is determined, preferable on WT:AFC. Eumat114 formerly TLOM (Message) 06:22, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Eumat114, People occasionally accept things that aren't notable for a myriad of reasons. I've done it plenty of times. Moving it back to draftspace after an accept would be pretty unorthodox. AfD is preferable anytime two editors have differing opinions of notability. All sources I'm seeing on this subject are either unreliable, don't show sigcov or are very sector specific publicantions (also with questionable reliability). If you can find a good reliable sources (or the two or three that would be required for WP:GNG), then I would encourage you to add it to the article. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:27, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Sulfurboy, I can't, and can't deal with WP:NCORP well, but I've brought this up at AFC. Please feel free to discuss there where others can also opine. Eumat114 formerly TLOM (Message) 06:29, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tarika-e-Maizbhandari

I would ask that you consider the feedback left for you by two editors at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tarika-e-Maizbhandari. While a relist is a low cost action - I have performed quite a few myself - it is not a substitute when there is consensus as there was at that discussion even before the relist. This isn't quite the scenario envisioned by WP:RELISTBIAS (because technically you can do the technical pieces needed to close as a merge or redirect) but it is part of the mindset referenced by that essay. Thanks and best, Barkeep49 (talk) 01:06, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Barkeep49, Yeah on re-review I agree it should have been closed as a redirect or just passed in whole on my part. I just started doing these a couple of weeks ago and this was for sure on the list of the handful of regrettable cutting my teeth moments. In particular, I wasn't fully vetting the names I didn't recognize on the relists like I would on a close. I always appreciate and welcome the feedback and any other suggestions you got. Verdigris Ensemble Wikipedia Page

Hi Sulfurboy,

Thanks for reviewing my article so quickly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Verdigris_Ensemble). I appreciate your feedback and am determined to edit and resubmit promptly.

When you mention that the article reads like an advertisement, I can see what you're saying with the quotes that I inserted from reviews to the organization. Should I remove all of them? As I look around at similar wikipedia pages (i.e. Conspirare, The Crossing (choir)), they have inserted quotes from reviews.

I would read WP:EPSTYLE, I think you'll see there's quite a bit of problematic elements in the article. Additionally, the article is written from the point of view of the organization and what they are promoting instead of being a third-party, dispassionate article. AfC Flavia Weedn

Hi Sulfurboy,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing about your recent comment on the article I submitted for creation (Draft:Flavia_Weedn).

You say that the person received only brief notability, but there are actual references from other sources that prove otherwise. Specifically, if you look at references 1, 2, 3, 4, 15, and 16 I believe that these should be enough, along with the references of the brief court litigation she had with Hallmark to be notable. Then if you see the obituaries I linked and referenced, they all quote Flavia Weedn and her poetry.

I'm still new, so I am looking for ways to improve my writing and article creation, I would appreciate any tips or advice.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matejmitev13 (talkcontribs) 10:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Matejmitev13, Demonstrating notability is going to be a lot easier if you heavily condense your references (see WP:BOMBARD). The overwhelming amount of sources are WP:PRIMARY. You can't reasonably expect reviewers to sort through 50+ references to suss out which ones are actually relevant. Sulfurboy (talk) 01:22, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

My submission at Articles for creation: Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 and reliable sources.

Hi,

My recent article submission to Articles for Creation has not been accepted, however; all other pages I´ve created for Yugovizija unil 1970, built in basically same way, have. Seems that depending on the reviewer, there are different approaches? Please help me to understand. Also, these external links are the closest we can get to correct information regarding the Yugoslav selecion in earlier years. Actually more or less the only source of information regarding the national Yugoslav selection for ESC. All three sites (links) mentioned were created by different people from different countries on the same topic. The information on those sites are more or less the same, one with more specific information, and the other two with less. Bits and pieces of the information can also be found on several other sites, including on wikipedia pages in other languages and official ESC fan pages, "confirming" the information on the sites mentioned above.

About my submission(Koto1749)

Hi Sulfurboy,

Thanks for reviewing my article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:826aska so quickly. You rejected my submission for the reason of notablity and I don't understand why this article is not notable. I want to ask did you read Japanese sources. I think these are understandable by Google translation for English speaker.Koto1749 (talk) 14:59, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Sambrukhman, None of the sources, japanese or otherwise demonstrated notability. Sulfurboy (talk) 01:16, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Sulfurboy, Thanks for your review yesterday. I added additional information of this person to this draft today and I think it meets second criteria for musicians and ensembles of this page.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(music)#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles. The source is Japanese but it is quite easy to understand because it is just information of music chart rank. Oricon chart is the most popular music chart in Japan so I think it is very reliable. So I want to ask do you think the problem of notability is still in this article and what is the problem.
The article has been rejected which means it will not be considered further at this time. Trying to delete previous rejection and decline messages or adding dubious sources isn't going to fix that. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:51, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
So on next time it can be considered? How I'll go to next time? And I think it is not dubious sources and any country's national music chart can be used because of the criteria above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Koto1749 (talkcontribs) 07:01, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Koto1749, There is no next time, unless the subject does something new and extraordinary to clearly pass our notability guidelines. That would could be months, years, or never. Sulfurboy (talk) 07:04, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Sulfurboy, I read the guidelines above and I know we can use any country's music chart for the judgement of the notablity of musician. So please tell me what is the problem and what is not clear for you.Koto1749 (talk) 08:11, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I’m a new editor this article was purely written so that many people like me could come to know more about the subject through Wikipedia, I understand there are issues on the article hence it was rejected, I would like to improve myself and the article, I would be really grateful if you could help me out by giving in more suggestions as I worked really hard to gather enough resources about the subject and had made sure that enough citations could be used and followed the guidelines also . Kjsarat (talk) 09:48, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Kjsarat, I'm sorry undisclosed paid editing didn't work out for you. The subject isn't notable and the article has been rejected which means it will not be considered further. You're either committing serious copyright infringement or are participating in undisclosed paid editing. You've blatantly ignored multiple requests for you to clarify which one it is. I would focus on that instead. Sulfurboy (talk) 00:13, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Brad Chase - Businessman

Hi there

This is about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Brad_Chase

I am not sure what I need to do so this entry is no longer declined, as no reason is specified. I responded to the feedback from the first review and added lots of citations from reliable 3rd party sources. I cross checked with similar Microsoft and Apple senior executives and this entry has more references than most. Some of his early career was before the internet was a material thing so it makes it harder. The only material item that does not have a 3rd party source is the list of companies he has advised which comes from his bio. That kind of info is not available via a third party source.

Please help and we will try to respond and improve — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phillipbach33 (talkcontribs) 22:13, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Phillipbach33, You're missing the key here of WP:SIGCOV. The reliability of the articles is fine, however all of the articles only mention the subject in passing or in relation to some project he is on. Other sources are just quoting him in articles which is primary and does nothing to demonstrate notability. Sulfurboy (talk) 00:08, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. I am new at this. So I guess it is good I addressed the first concern. Respectfully the articles don't only mention Mr. Chase in passing. He was one of the most senior executives at Microsoft which is why his leaving was covered on the front page of the Wall Street Journal (referenced) and why he won major awards like the Ad Age one (referenced). He led the launch of one of the most important products in Microsoft and computer history in Windows 95 (referenced). I'll try again to add more — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phillipbach33 (talkcontribs) 00:25, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

White Panda References

Hello, I submitted an article for review, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:White_Panda, which was declined due to non-significant coverage. However, I believe it was significantly covered, including by the San Francisco Chronicle and the Wilmington Delaware News Journal, and charting on Billboard.

They have also headlined major music festivals for years (as outlined by the Wilmington News Journal in the article) and played on college campuses for years.

I would like to know how I can improve the references enough so the article stands on its own, without needing to be a White Panda expert myself. :)

Thanks! Semitones (talk) 00:41, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Semitones, The SFC article is basically a quarter page concert announcement that shows no depth.
The Wilmington article never refers to the group as "headliners" and in fact points out that they play on a side stage. I have no idea where you got that from.
Charting 47th on a minor subset of the Billboard charts is not compelling.
The only standout source is the Wilmington article, but we're going to need to see more than that to pass WP:GNG Sulfurboy (talk) 00:59, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Also, I am hanging out on freenode if you happen to use IRC --Semitones (talk) 00:42, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

re: Kuku Trinidad

Hi there! This is regarding my article which I submitted twice.. I am sorry for I was taking chances on what should must be done correctly for i was new here. Thank you for giving time correcting my mistakes...

Since i submitted twice does it mean I have to etase the other one? What should i erase https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Kuku_Trinidad or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:42ny/sandbox? Thank you and keep safe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42ny (talkcontribs) 16:37, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello Sulfurboy, hope you're doing well.

Just letting you know that I have fundamentally re-crafted my draft article about Joe Seddon in response to very helpful feedback of yourself and others. It would be great if you could review now that I've removed the Mail reference and, if it's still not up to scratch, get some feedback on the article now that amendments have been made. I've removed a significant amount of content which could be interpreted as subtly / indirectly promotional, but let me know if I can go any further when it comes to this.

I have revised the page as requested. Almost all of the references now specifically discuss Nobel Disease and some new references that discuss Nobel Disease have been added, while most of the other other references have been removed, and although it may not have been obvious with the earlier version of the page, ALL of the examples listed (of scientists who have exhibited Nobel Disease) are included because they are discussed by referenced articles (in most cases, several of the referenced articles), rather than reflecting my own analysis. i came here to simply add something that i thought was missing. turns out that one needs to learn a bunch of rules and guidelines in order to do th.

I've tried. Now, i quit.

here's an idea ... why can't wiki have a kind of inbox, where simpletons like myself can simply suggest a missing topic? Then have that viewable by the geeks who know all the computer language and junk, so they can choose topics to submit.

I didn't come here only to be still trying to do the world a solid, only to be rejected over and over. Surely, you can serve all the regular folks like me, then let the geeks do all that tedius bullshit.

I can't give this crap another minute of my time. why don't you just do it, since you already know how? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WilliamR164 (talkcontribs) 05:20, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

AFC Draft:Amitabh Shah

Hey there I have created this article and I am just the team member and a volunteer in the NGO. This isn't a paid article or something like that also all the sources used in it are from reputed news channels here in India like Ahmedabad mirror and time of India etc. Can you please help me to improve the article?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2020satiya (talkcontribs) 23:52, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm assuming you did not intend to move it back to mainspace again. It's highly recommended you go through the AfC process since you have a WP:COI. You also need to properly declare that COI on your talk page. I'm moving the page back to draftspace. When you think it is ready, click the submit button. Do not continually move it back to mainspace, it has a myriad of issues that could result it in being nominated for deletion. While some of the sources you've used are okay, the vast majority are press releases or are from unreliable sources. Please see WP:RSSulfurboy (talk) 23:56, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Please help me in the following things: 1. If I remove all the press releases sites will that help? 2. I am not paid for this but yes I am a volunteer in the same NGO, is there any other tag for the staff or volunteer of NGO? if yes I will use that(But I am not paid for this) 3. Any other suggestions on improvements of this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2020satiya (talkcontribs) 06:12, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

2020satiya, For ease of response, comments and suggestions I have for you will be given on the COI noticeboard post. Cheers. Sulfurboy (talk) 04:12, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Malloy Aeronautics Ltd

Hello Sulfurboy, Thank you for your guidance, I have added a significant number of first source and second source citations in line with your guidance. I think that I have resubmitted for review correctly.

I have also updated an already existing page about a previous product of the company at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malloy_Hoverbike as this had very limited information and didn't serve much purpose as it stood.

cheers, Paul — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uavengineer (talkcontribs) 14:04, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Samuel W. Hayes article response

Sulfurboy: Thanks for your review and comment on the subject article. It has taken awhile for me to respond, but hopefully I have adequately covered the points you raised about the introductory section in the notice at the top of the article. If so, I plan to remove the notice. Please let me know if I haven't hit the mark. I appreciate your help. Bruin2 (talk) 20:30, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Bruin2, I've removed the notice. Thanks. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:32, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Question about Jaclyn Bradley article

Hi Sulfurboy and thanks for helping to make my article better.

I think most if not all my sources are legit and name Bradley as a main feature of the article. Can you give me an example of where I went wrong so I can remove the correct things and replace with better. Thank you very much. I am new to this so your help will be helpful in future articles, too.

Entries in the French Wiki for the biography of Rudolph G Kopp

Bonjour,

I regret not having studied French in either high school or university. I studied German instead. I don't understand any of the 'flags' or 'objections' raised when I expanded the article, which I did earlier today. I have not cited any of the sources because there are far too many.

There was a very brief entry on Rudolph G Kopp in French Wiki. I simply expanded on it. I have submitted a request for an entry on the English Wiki, but there is such a lengthy queue that it will probably take at least a year or more before an editor can have a look at the request.

Sincerely yours,

John Steven Lasher Panorama3frame--Panorama3frame (talk) 03:30, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Panorama3frame, I don't speak French either, nor am I familiar with the processes of the French wiki, so I can't comment on anything that happened there. In terms of the English wiki, our queue is currently sitting at five weeks maximum. Sulfurboy (talk) 03:34, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Sulfurboy, Thank you so much for your help. I see the process takes weeks before it hits the streets. How can I straighten any errors or formatting issues, so that it's a smoother and expeditious process for all? Meaning - I am perfection (not), I don't see the errors, but will continue to look for them. Roccie (talk) 02:40, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Roccie - 22 May 2020 - 10:30pm

An illustration of the character's popularity and Reliability of sources

hello Sulfurboy, nice to talk with you about development of Wikipedia.I add two new reliable sources one of them is the official film trailer from the official channel of Dubai international film festival. The article is about a well-known Arab director and writer, which is why most of the sources are in Arabic, and they are reliable sources from newspapers that have a reputation and spread in the Arab world. And because he is a writer, director, and not an actor, it is natural and logical in the Arab world to mention his name in articles without much information. for example match movie is present on Netflix and Apple iTunes and the newspapers and Alarabiya channel and official channel of Dubai international film festival proves that Rayan Alabbas is the writer of the the movie, also he has a page on IMDb. so I hope that you review the draft again and accept the article as it fulfills the terms of Wikipedia. thank you very much. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Rayan_Alabbas --Kareem ahmed sallam (talk) 13:55, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Kareem ahmed sallam, Anyone can have an IMDB page, there's nothing special or notable about that. Its also a wholly unreliable source that shouldn't be used in an article. A film trailer is not a source that would demonstrate notability, nor are articles where the subject is only briefly mentioned. I would recommend reading the policies that I linked in the decline message. Sulfurboy (talk) 17:50, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

thank you very much, I learn from you.--Kareem ahmed sallam (talk) 19:47, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Moves

As per here, the user has expressed a specific wish to have this in userspace rather than draftspace. Please leave it there until/unless it's ready for mainspace. DS (talk) 03:59, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

DragonflySixtyseven, I don't see where they requested that, you linked to the page's history, but I'll take your word for it. However, I completely disagree with what you've done here and would ask you to reconsider for a few reasons:
1)If they were to have the userspace version rejected/CSDed/deleted, they could just resubmit it in draftspace or a differently named sandbox and it would take an undue amount of digging to see previous declines/rejections.
2) There's WP:OWN issues involved with insisting it stay in user space, particularly since it has now had community involvement with the AfC process.
3)If someone else wanted to create the article/draft, they would not get the usual notice that there is an existing draft for the article.
4)Higher potential for lost history issues if there were to be any sort of copy paste moves from that userspace to draft/mainspace Sulfurboy (talk) 04:22, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

UMG source

I'm blocked from commenting on the other but you claimed that UMG was not once mentioned. This is incorrect, I specifically made the link with https://www.audioculture.co.nz/labels/allied-international/stories/allied-international which I linked to four times to draw the line.

The old Allied International offices at 110 Mount Eden Road in Auckland became the new Auckland home of the Philips owned PolyGram Records who remained there until 1999 when the company was acquired globally by the Universal Music Group. The Pye, Family and Allied International catalogues are now owned by Universal Music.

I'm sorry if you took my comment as implying prejudice, it was not meant but it's incredibly frustrating when substantially less notable entities culturally exist on this site. Snig27 (talk) 12:13, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Clarification on Article decline

Hello, You declined my article due to sources. My sources are reliable and accurate. My town is a small town and there would not be many articles written about Averett Woods in National newspapers or articles on Jstor. What would make these sources more reliable? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaryDowningKate (talkcontribs) 03:10, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

MaryDowningKate, Your sources do not demonstrate notability. Neighborhoods such as this are rarely notable. We would need to see significant coverage of the neighborhood in multiple reliable and secondary sources. Sulfurboy (talk) 03:23, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

You have provided a bogus excuse not to publish my page by saying that it includes copyrighted material which is simply not true. You need to educate yourself about the copyright laws first and only after that you might be able to make any decisions here on Wikipedia. The books referenced are dated as 1808 and 1836. Their copyright has ended in 1908 and 1936. This is point number one. Secondly, I never tried to even include the copyrighted material. The proper citation is used according to the rules of the English language. All references are clearly mentioned. I can easily add at least 10 more sources but Sir William Jones and his Asiatic Researches through The Asiatic Society are more than enough. The Cat 2020 (talk) 13:59, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Official Declaration

I have a question maybe you can answer: How is it that a category may not qualify for an article, when all the things within that category do? Thmazing (talk) 03:51, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

Thmazing, I don't think I've ever created a category and typically leave adding categories to people on that task force. As such, I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I would maybe ask this over at the WP:TEAHOUSE Sulfurboy (talk) 04:01, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
I assumed you knew more since you turned the category into a draft article. Draft:Official Declaration Thmazing (talk) 22:12, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Thmazing, You submitted it as a draft article to AfC. Even if you hadn't, what you wrote is not a "category", it's a stub article. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:24, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
