editFirstly, what "province-wide" office are you purporting that he's held, considering that he's an American (not Canadian) politician who still has never verifiably held any office higher than county executive as far as I can tell from Google News? "Province-wide" is for Canada; the standard that an American politician has to meet is "state-wide", not "province-wide", because the US doesn't have provinces. And that standard doesn't get county executives in the door, either — the fact that there's a statewide system of counties doesn't reify every individual county executive into a "statewide" officeholder, because the question is about the state level of government: the state governor, the state legislature, state-level cabinet officials who work in Albany.
Secondly, even if there were grounds to recreate an article now, that wouldn't be a matter of my consent, it would be a matter of whether it met our notability and inclusion criteria or not. Bearcat (talk) 13:06, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- He's held the "province-wide" position of county executive of Erie County for a while now. When Marc Molinaro ran for governor, he frequently cited his position of county executive and almost never mentioned his status as a former assemblyman. Still, perhaps he's notable for other reasons. I might create a draft. Sucker for All (talk) 17:12, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Sucker for All. Firsthand, I would like to say that I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia. They have one-by-one improved this giant project. Secondly, I would like to say that you edit to Peter Doocy listing it for AfD was sort of erroneous, as you did not open an AfD. I do realize you were acting in good faith but other users may misinterpret it since you did not open an AfD yet. If this was a tiny error of yours, feel free to disregard. But please open an AfD once you nominate an article for deletion.
Again, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! — 3PPYB6 (T / C / L) — 13:11, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you User:3PPYB6 for your comments. I believe an AfD should be started; however I've never nominated a page for deletion before. If you or User:Praxidicae could help get the ball rolling here, that would be appreciated. Cheers! Sucker for All (talk) 20:55, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
