Percy Jackson Task Force

Hello, Stroppolo! I'd like to invite you to join the Percy Jackson task force. We work on improving Percy Jackson & the Olympians articles and would appreciate your help. Cheers! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:15, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the invite, but I only read the books once, and I can't say that I know enough about it to write about it. I do keep it clean from vandalism when I see it though. --Stroppolotalk 01:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, thanks for the cleanup! Every bit helps. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:05, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Goblet of Fire

Hi Stroppolo,

I just wanted to let you know that 76.124.108.4 is upset at me because they think I reverted their edits to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (film). Actually, I wouldn't have minded reverting them, but you got there first. I've responded to them on their talk page, and I don't know if they'll appear again (since the edits are several days apart, I'm guessing it's probably a static IP though). But I thought I'd let you know what's up in case they manage to figure out that it was actually you who reverted them both times.

Cheers! Princess Lirin (talk) 03:59, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know! --Stroppolotalk 09:52, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Order of Merlin (Second class)
The Order of Merlin, the WikiProject Harry Potter Barnstar, is awarded by 74.178.230.17 (talk) to Stroppolo/Archives for not only being able to verify information questioned in an article, but for even being able to cite the correct chapter, even without having a copy of the book in his possession! Amazing.

Thanks for your help! 74.178.230.17 (talk) 07:07, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Request for interview

Hi Stroppolo -

I'm a professor working with the GroupLens project at the University of Minnesota, trying to learn about how the adopt-a-user program functions so that we can hopefully develop tools and ideas that might improve it. Your user page indicates you have been adopted... would you be willing to have a conversation with me so I could ask you a bunch of questions about your interactions with the adopt-a-user program? (I'd be willing to do a phone call, instant messaging, or whatever way you would best prefer to do it.) I'm hoping that as a result of having a few of these conversations with people, I'll better understand how users in general get involved, how the adoptee / adopter pairings work out, and so on. Let me know. Thanks! SeparateWays (talk) 19:35, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm currently out of free time. Good luck in your search! --Stroppolotalk 23:53, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the response -- I appreciate it. (If you change your mind, please let me know; I'd be willing to donate a little money to the Wikimedia Foundation as a "thank you" for your efforts.) SeparateWays (talk) 19:21, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

I have a shared IP address

Hi Stropollo there are teenagers who live with me and they make unconstructive edits --precedingly unsigned by 68.195.162.240

I totally understand. But unconstructive edits are, well... unconstructive! As mention on your talk page, to dissociate yourself from whoever may be sharing your IP, may I suggest that you create an account? That way, you and only you would be able to edit under a username. Also, if ever your IP gets block for vandalism, your registered account would still be clean. If you do not plan on editing articles on Wikipedia, then it matters less. Your access to read the articles can't be blocked. --Stroppolotalk 01:56, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
