- Hi Sara. I redesigned your user and talk page. If you add more to your userpage, it will look better. Any comments?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 19:33, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Tips
editWell, I'll number my questions.
- Installing? I think you need some experience before installing twinkle and friendly. Sorry but it's true.
- Well, you can look at my handy Patrol Page if you would like to help somewhere.
- You can type * to make bullet points.
Also, add the following code to your userboxes:{{Adoptee|RyRy5}} Any comments?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 02:36, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Some more notes:
- The preference page has links to the tools it offers. Read up a bit on them to make up your mind. Personally, I use the Navigation Popups (top), but I doubt everyone would like them.
- Start with the things you like and already know. Maybe there's a notable landmark where you live? Apart from that, there's no rush, take you time.
- Also, there is a friendly cheatsheet. It has more interesting links at the top and at the bottom.
- Have fun! --Yooden ☮
Echo Lake School
editA school is a nice idea! But please have a look at WP:SCHOOL, not every school is notable enough for Wikipedia. Also, have a look at Echo Lake (disambiguation) and see whether you want to add the school there.
I assume that you are from Glen Allen? You could have a look at its article; my former home town is not that much bigger (Pop. ~40000), but it has a nice article in the German Wikipedia: de:Laatzen. I think even if you can't read German, you will get an impression just by looking at the article (maps, pictures, etc.). The section titles from the table of content are: Geography, History, Politics, Culture and Landmarks, Economy and Infrastructure, Personalities, Miscellaneous, Sources, Weblinks. I guess some of that would also match Glen Allen.
- Thanks for the suggestion on improving the Glen Allen ariticle. It is really small, and could use some major improvement. I'm already researching to add to what I know. I can't wait to get started!
- P.S. I know some basic German, thanks to a course I am taking. I read the Laatzen article; it was very helpful, and I am planning to use the structure as a model.
- P.P.S. About the Echo Lake School. I'm not sure whether or not it qualifies for the standards listed under WP:SCHOOL, so I plan on just leaving it for now, and improving it later. If you know a better way I could deal with it, please tell me; I still am not framiliar with most of the Wikipedia policies beyond the most basic.
- Thanks,

- First of all, I think that discussions like this should be on one page, so that others can easily read them and add their thoughts. I have a note about this on the very top of my user talk page. So I removed your message and put it here, in comments. If you agree, just edit this thread and remove the lines with <!-- and -->; if you disagree, remove everything in between.
- Back to topic: WP:SCHOOL is pretty strict and unless, I don't know, Abraham Lincoln or someone similar went to Echo Lake, the article might be deleted. So work on it, but don't put too much effort (or heart) in it.
- I suggest you should concentrate on Glen Allen (or anything else you think would be interesting). Let me know if you run into trouble.
- Have fun! --Yooden ☮
- Here's the thing: Please don't spread a discussion over two pages. Just answer here. I said as much at the top of my user talk page, please respect that.
- To see the comments,
- edit your own user talk page,
- in the text field, look for the line containing <!--,
- then look for the line containing -->.
- Between the two lines you'll find your comment that I copied from my user talk page. It is currently not visible; <!-- and --> have that effect, they prevent anything in between them from being visible. That's what is called commented out. See Comment (computer programming) for a thorough explanation.
- Note also that you won't find <!-- and --> in my text in the textfield, you'll find <!-- and --> - that's done because I wanted to show them, but not use them.
- Alternatively, if you agree to keep the discussion on this page, just let me know and I make your comment visible here. No, I don't like to spread a discussion around. Yes, I'm obnoxious. --Yooden ☮
Thanks! Sorry, my fault about keeping the discussion here. I forgot. I know, that's retarded, seeing as I just agreed to it. And no, you're not obnoxious.

Echo Lake
editI see you like Echo Lake in a way. Well, you should improve Echo Lake (New York) if you like.--RyRy5 (talk) 01:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Also, I'm very sorry but I am not adopting anymore. But feel free to ask me questions if you have any. Cheers.--RyRy5 (talk) 03:42, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014
editIf your strength is small, don't carry heavy burdens. If your words are worthless, don't give advice.
Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.
Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
