Proposed deletion of ''A Soldier's Rosary'' edit

The article ''A Soldier's Rosary'' has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable song. Although this song appears on the collection of several major archives, there appears to be no source that talks about the song. No analysis, no commentary, nothing. Also, although the copyright has expired on this composition, Wikipedia is not a lyrics database. The lyrics might be quoted as part of a commentary on the song, but unadorned lyrics with no commentary are not encyclopedic content.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ''A Soldier's Rosary'' edit

Hi Alexander. I volunteer for the Pritzker Military Museum & Library as an editor on Wikipedia, and wanted to introduce myself. I stop by the Pritzker from time to time to work and assist others there-- could you let me know when you expect to be there from week to week? I'll make sure to stop by to introduce myself in person.

I noticed that the article you created above was proposed for deletion. This happens sometimes when an article is just starting out. This might come as a disappointment to you, but let me explain what's going on. The editor who proposed the article for deletion noted that the song isn't notable because there aren't sources that discuss the song in detail. They also mentioned that lyrics should not be posted in their entirety on Wikipedia articles. What I would do is remove the lyrics for now, check out some sources that discuss the song, and incorporate them into the article. Here are a few you can start with: [1] [2]. Let me know if you need any help. I, JethroBT drop me a line 21:41, 15 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Good suggestions for the Robinson article edit

I, JethroBT has some good suggestions for the Robinson article you've been working on his talk page. If you can incorporate them, then maybe we can nominate it for a "Did You Know" entry which appear on Wikipedia's main page. TeriEmbrey (talk) 20:50, 30 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 7 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Château-Thierry (1918), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stormtroopers. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
