Let's try to use the talk page to discuss the article, instead of posting personal notes on the article. Emrobins (talk) 16:04, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Sahib: Try translating that French page you found with Google translator. I believe it allows you to translate whole pages. Emrobins (talk) 16:07, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Whoever has added the definition of Fair Trade to the article... you have to change it because you copied and pasted it from the website... Emrobins (talk) 15:55, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi Shawn - I have written some stuff for the Fair Trade section as well... I'll try and incorporate it with what you have written. Emrobins (talk) 16:06, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Shawn, here is the info I removed because it is likely going to be seen as plagiarism. I posted it here in case you wanted to use it still:
What? What is Fair Trade? Fair Trade is a relatively new way of doing business. Fair Trade attempts to ensure that farmers and producers of Fair Trade Coffee and other Fair Trade crops receive better compensation for their product and labour.[1] In an ever changing market where consumers are becoming more and more aware of the paths products have traveled to get to them, Fair Trade is gaining popularity.[2] In order to be sold as Fair Trade, a product must meet certain criteria laid out by organizations such as Fairtrade Labeling Organization International (FLO)[3]
Why? Planet Bean Coffee operates under the business ideologies of a co-operative. A foundational element in the fair trade certification standards is the necessity for farmers to gather together in an organization that is collectively owned and democratically managed, most often this takes the form of a co-operative.[4] Co-ops are the logical organizational form given their long history of enabling marginalized groups of farmers, workers, and consumers to better their lives through collective action.[5] Emrobins (talk) 16:33, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Ok good news and bad news, Apparently there is a bot in Wiki that removes fair use pictures in non-main pages. I think it is because they want to try to prevent people from posting images on their profile that they don't own. That being said I think we can get away with the picture on the main page, but as long as it is a stub we may have a problem. I will try to undo what the bot did for now. I thought I would give you guys an update on the picture, the good news is that if you actually click the link in the info box of where the picture is it will take you to the wiki page with the media, so I think they did not remove it completely yet. Cheers Sahib Singh P.S If there is any changes to the format you guys would like to make that you are having trouble in doing please let me know, I would gladly try to figure it out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StoicLion (talk • contribs) 13:56, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
I like what everyone has added. The page looks good. I will edit it this weekend. Emrobins (talk) 02:32, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
The new picture in the info box is just a place holder till we get the main page, after that the bot will not touch this logo picture, really sorry for the confusion. StoicLion (talk) 12:55, 19 July 2011 (UTC) Sahib Singh
