Hi, StilltheOne9. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  07:14, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Only warning

edit

This is your only warning - stop continuously creating new articles on Australian television schedules. Multiple debates and discussions have shown that the articles are not appropriate for the encyclopaedia, and your further creations at this point amount to disruption. Ironholds (talk) 12:57, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I haven't - I nominated that one for deletion as well. Ironholds (talk) 11:13, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information - simply because it exists doesn't make it worthy of inclusion. At the same time it is also not an electronic program guide. Ironholds (talk) 11:58, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
By electronic program guide we mean a guide to TV programs that is found electronically, not an electronic program guide. Indiscriminate is what it says on the box; a collection of information regardless of importance, verifiability, common sense or anyone giving a flying fig. A collection of TV timetables 30 years old certainly falls under that. Ironholds (talk) 12:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, I've nominated them for a deletion discussion - that's what all the notices above were telling you. Ironholds (talk) 12:08, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean? Ironholds (talk) 12:10, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of 1993 Australian network television schedule (weekday)

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is 1993 Australian network television schedule (weekday). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1993 Australian network television schedule (weekday). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:15, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

AdelaideTV

edit

StilltheOne9, I've reblocked your account for an extra week as it's pretty obvious to me that you tried to avoid your block by using the sock/meatpuppet AdelaideTV (talk · contribs). I have also again deleted the reposted article 1957 Australian network television schedule (weekday) because it was reposted in violation of the Articles for Deletion discussion. If you wish to contest the outcome of the deletion discussion, there are legit ways you can do that but using socks to try to force your own way against the expressed wishes of a community discussion is not going to work out favourably for you and will only result in the articles being protected against recreation and you being banned indefinitely from the project for disruption and abusive use of multiple accounts. However, while you can appeal the deletion at deletion review, I feel it is highly unlikely that you will succeed in having these articles accepted on Wikipedia because they are not articles but TV guides and as stand alone pages they seem to me to be highly unencyclopedic. I would suggest that you find somewhere else to post them as not everything belongs on Wikipedia, but I see they already have their own devoted website so this battle you're on seems rather pointless because they are already available on the internet for anyone who is interested. Before you imply that I'm biased against inclusion of Australian content, as you did with Ironholds, please be assured that I'm an Australian administrator and very much in favour of new Australian content which complies with out inclusion rules, unfortunately it happens that your tv guide pages don't seem to me to be compliant. Please respect our rules and sit out your block without using any further accounts or IP addresses to edit and you will then be welcome to return and make a new start.
