Hello,
I am new to Wikipedia editing and I am having trouble understanding how to go about it. I am also having trouble finding help on how to go about it.
I made a change to the article entitled "Casablanca (film)", but it was reverted because I had indicated it as a minor change, which I now understand it was not. So yesterday I went to the talk page, opened a new topic and explained the change I wished to make. I went back there just now, and the topic, as well as all the others I saw yesterday, are gone. Is that because I didn't "sign" my comment with four tildes? Even so, why can't I see all the other topics I saw yesterday?
Lastly, just above this text box on this page, there is a sentence that says, "If you need help, check out Wikipedia: Questions, ask me on my talk page ...". So I clicked on the the "my talk page" hyperlink, but there was no place on that page to ask a question.
Please help! Steviesk (talk) 09:32, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Your talk page comments on the Casablanca article are at Talk:Casablanca (film)#General Weygand. I reverted your edit because the content, in my opinion, is not appropriate for the plot section. We don't revert edits just because they are mislabeled.
To create a new talk page topic: On desktop view, click on user talk:SatuSuro or any talk page, you should see a tab called 'Edit', 'New section', or '+'. Or, on mobile view, you should see a button saying 'Add topic'. DrKay (talk) 14:33, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your response. I see my comments have sparked a lively debate. And I understand now why that debate should take place here before any change is made. Someone in the discussion mentioned the "inaccuracies and misquotes" page, which I can't find. How might I get there? Steviesk (talk) 15:25, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
That's a section in the article: Casablanca (film)#Inaccuracies and a misquote. DrKay (talk) 18:26, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

October 2022 edit

Hi Steviesk! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Casablanca (film) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. OK, sorry, I didn’t realize that. I’m going to change the description. 2A01:CB14:555:9000:3150:AFEF:8AF5:FA1C (talk) 21:07, 20 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
