Cavaliers edit

I don't think Urquhart's objections are vandalism by the Wikipedia definition. What you have done, i.e. to accomodate his objections to your wording and rework it, is exactly what Wikipedia guidelines suggest. If he persists we can take it to arbitration, so keep it reasonable. Scottish teams in RLC edit

The official statement says that the RLC will be doing the admin and promo work for the Scottish teams this year but they won't be taking part in the RLC this year. It is next year that the Scottish division will join the RLC.GordyB 09:50, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

[1]. I only really care because the Oxford Cavaliers article contradicts what is in the Rugby League Conference and Rugby league in Scotland articles.GordyB 09:52, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

User pages edit

I believe you. Occasionally people accidently post messages on user pages rather than talk pages as Tim Fellows has done with your user page. However, your user page is your user page and should not be edited by anybody other than yourself unless reverting vandalism or copyright issues. Luckily nobody seems to have seen your message otherwise it could have been considered vandalism.GordyB 11:35, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeast flocculation edit

I appreciate you making this page. Is there any chance you could clean it up and change the language to be oriented more towards a layman? It is rather technical as it stands. Thx. Thetrick 02:42, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the comment. I am not spending much time on wikipedia, having just moved to a new country. I have however, added an introductory paragraph.

Speedy deletion of Novo Nordisk Engineering edit

A tag has been placed on Novo Nordisk Engineering, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Oxford Cavaliers Flag.gif edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Oxford Cavaliers Flag.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:55, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of JBOL edit

A tag has been placed on JBOL requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Stevendavy! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Speedy deletion nomination of Oxford Contemporary Music edit

A tag has been placed on Oxford Contemporary Music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Jutland RLFC edit

Hello, Stevendavy, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Jutland RLFC, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Jutland rlfc. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 14:32, 19 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:SSSK Logo.GIF edit

The file File:SSSK Logo.GIF has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
