Thank you for uploading File:StudentsGatherAroundtheA.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Magog the Ogre (talk) 08:32, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Copy & Pasting, removing templates

edit

Hi there. I see you are a newer user and I thought I'd let you know that you shouldn't remove problem templates from pages, particularly if you are the page creator. Allow these to resolve, and then a third party to remove them.

Please do not copy and paste text from other websites and paste it into an article. All articles must be the original work of the editors. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste. I know it is hard to understand these policies at first. MobileSnail 05:51, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Douglas D. Anderson

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Douglas D. Anderson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:Vivint. Logo Used on Facebook.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Vivint. Logo Used on Facebook.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Hi. When you recently edited Christopher "Chris" Stewart (Author), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bestsellers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Endowments

edit

You aren't comparing apples to apples with your endowment numbers. First, the NACUBO numbers are not actual endowment numbers. Those show net assets are particular foundations, and much of those net assets are not part of the school's endowment. Also, many of the NACUBO figures claim the endowment of their entire system, not the main university campus. In addition, not all schools are included in the NACUBO database. If you compare the NACUBO numbers to the corresponding numbers from US News, they are not even close to each other. US News gets their endowment numbers from the US Dept. of Education. You can't mix and match sources when using these "endowment" numbers because the NACUBO numbers are inflated from the real endowment. That's a very misleading comparison. Moreover, endowments are irrelevant to an athletic conference page. If any dollar amount is relevant to the page, it should be the athletic budget. If you want to compare academics, we have the US News rankings to compare academics. +Treydavis3 (talk) 23:10, 30 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:GraduateStudentStandingBuilding.jpg

edit

The file File:GraduateStudentStandingBuilding.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned image, no encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
