Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Stephengonzalez100! Thank you for your contributions. I am Doug Weller and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Doug Weller talk 11:14, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Conservatism, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 02:56, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Some tips

edit

Wikipedia articles are meant to be based on what reliable sources say about a subject. Anything dubious or possibly contentious must have a source if requested, see WP:VERIFY. As there are varieties of English we follow WP:ENGVAR and that includes mdy or dmy dates. The US for instance uses mdy, the UK ydm. Article talk pages are for discussion of the article but not the subject of the article or indeed anything else. I hope this helps. Doug Weller talk 11:16, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello!

If you want to experiment with editing/wikitext and whatever, pleaese create a personal subpage/sandbox (instructions at that link) and do it there, editors can be very sensitive about "mainspace". I hope you'll like it here and stick around, it's a very special place. Happy editing! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:06, 17 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Btw, about using WP as a reliable source, here's a fun anecdote on that: Jimmy Lovrien column: Wikipedia, the Mexican army and me Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:15, 17 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Ammarpad. An edit that you recently made to 2014 Isla Vista killings seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! –Ammarpad (talk) 05:31, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in History of Earth, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. "Its" is correct, because Wikipedia style avoids whenever possible use of first-person pronouns. I'm very sorry, thank you so much for explaining to me my mistake! Stephengonzalez100 (talk) 01:27, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Nick-D (talk) 09:37, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
As your only contributions to Wikipedia articles have been to vandalise them and then revert yourself, I have blocked your account. If you actually do want to edit productively, please explain your intended area(s) of focus in an unblock request. Nick-D (talk) 09:39, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
