The opera corpus edit

Hi. Could you possibly explain why you have deleted the statistics from the page? See the talk page. --Kleinzach 10:16, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

RfA thankspam edit

Thank you for your participation in my recent RfA, which failed with 90/38/3; whether you supported, opposed or remained neutral.

Special thanks go out to Moreschi, Dougweller and Frank for nominating me, and I will try to take everyone's comments on board.

Thanks again for your participation. I am currently concentrating my efforts on the Wikification WikiProject. It's fun! Please visit the project and wikify a few articles to help clear the backlog. If you can recruit some more participants, then even better.

Apologies if you don't like RfA thankspam, this message was delivered by a bot which can't tell whether you want it or not. Feel free to remove it. Itsmejudith (talk), 22:53, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

10 ITNs edit

I know...OTD needs more, not less, and I think the TFA was longer than usual. SpencerT♦C 12:19, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I left a message on Talk:Main Page, and TFA was pruned. SpencerT♦C 17:44, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Frontiers Research Foundation edit

Hi. I have asked 2 times for a new log in name, you refused the first one because it was still representing the foundation and I never had any reply for the second name request. Futhermore, I can see that I am blocked for the moment, may I have more information about this? Is it possible to have a reply for my username second request. Thanks in advance! 11:45, 6 March 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.179.67.89 (talk)

The user has no contributions, everything it created has been deleted. Just create a new account. --Stephen 00:12, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Copyvio edit

This editor is a copyvio recidivist. I can see from his talk page that he doesn't care about copyright laws. Since you've dealt with him before, I thought you may be interested. Cheers!--It's me...Sallicio!  02:11, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Harry J. Lincoln needs a template edit

I know you deleted Template:Not finished, but you need to fill in the spot with a similar template in Harry J. Lincoln#Roster of his compositions A-G. That section is under construction and needs to have a template that says that. -BlueCaper (talk) 12:48, 25 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

No, it doesn't. It's low traffic article, and all of WP is basically under construction. But I see you found and added the existing under construction template. --Stephen 22:55, 25 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Talk page edit

Hi, okay, they have obviously changed the rules, before we were allowed to archive but not revert/delete our talk pages. How much leniency is available for the user page? i.e. can they put just about anything on it that they want? Green Squares (talk) 12:16, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

okay, thanks. Green Squares (talk) 12:33, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the feedback edit

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed today with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your participation in it. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns. Special thanks go to Schmidt, MICHAEL Q., TomStar81, and henrik for their co-nominations and support. — BQZip01 — talk 20:15, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of In popular culture edit

I have nominated In popular culture, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/In popular culture. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Sceptre (talk) 15:36, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, commented. --Stephen 22:10, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Because J and S are not together in the alphabet... --Stephen 00:02, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Diagonal method edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Diagonal method, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Two years after consensus to delete, the article is still unsourced and still here. Can we just get rid of it?

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Yaphet Kotto and Ivan Reitman edit

I do not understand why you have been deleting the "if you have free picture add it" or whatever exactly it says. These are public figures (especially Kotto - an actor) and many people out there could potentially have taken pictures of them which they could share. Many newbies do not know how that they can put in pictures on there if there is nothing directing them to do so. So my question is - why take it off when it may help us? Hope you're doing well. Donmike10 (talk) 23:20, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Because the consensus over multiple discussions is that they are ugly and unencyclopaedic. --Stephen 23:23, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
