COI notice edit

  Hello, Stefanocanturi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:23, 31 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

March 2019 edit

  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Draft:Stefano Canturi. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Your submission at Articles for creation: Stefano Canturi (April 20) edit

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Dusti was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: You have continuously ignored concerns about the fact that the subject is not notable, and in reviewing your edits along with your username, it's believed that you're attempting to write your own Autobiography. Please review our conflict of interest policy along with this, and this.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Stefano Canturi edit

A tag has been placed on Draft:Stefano Canturi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Essentially this falls under G13 and A7 - Autobiography that's been repeatedly submitted and rejected at AFC by a COI editor (see username). Salting the page would be appropriate.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Request reason:

Request to be unblocked. I am working with Stefano Canturi and created the draft for review. I wasn't aware that creating a username in his name would be seen as him promoting his own brand. Please allow me to resubmit the article

Decline reason:

The only way you will be unblocked is if you a) select a new username (you can make a request for a username change here by using the template {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} when making a new unblock request), b) declare your relationship with the article subject as required by this site's Terms of Use and c) agree that you will no longer attempt to write directly about Stefano Canturi on Wikipedia (a request for an article or request edits will still be permitted). If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I submitted an article for subject STEFANO CANTURI under the username stefanocanturi, I didn't realise this would be seen as self promotion and marketing, please allow me to change my username in order for me to submit the article again. I declare my relationship with the article subject as his employee, the article is not self promotion or intended to be that way at all, we are only stating facts with footnotes and sources to backup our claims. We have clients who have asked why Stefano Canturi does not have a wikipedia page given his contribution to the jewelry industry and this is why the article was written. Not to promote but to share information. I declare that I will no longer attempt to write directly about Stefano Canturi on wikipedia

Decline reason:

No. That would be a blatant violation of WP:COI and we've already told you this won't be permitted. Please stop wasting our time. Yamla (talk) 09:46, 13 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
