Assignment 2

You should say something about the phylogenetic position of the group and the history of this species. Make sure that you put species names in italics. Saprotrophic not saprophytic. There should be some interesting facts about the carotenoid pigments in the species, several things turned up when I search web of science. Also there are some interesting potential industrial conversion uses, like biodiesel production (doi:10.1016/j.fuel.2014.01.054), and its contribution to wine aroma (doi:10.1128/genomeA.00046-14). This is an interesting fungus and you should try to dig deeper. I'd prefer you to use the referencing procedure I outlined on the course wiki page rather than in-line referencing. This approach makes the source much clearer for editing and it also makes it easier to avoid duplication when shifting references around in the body of the article.
