Article 26.1 of the ICNafp is clear that autonyms don't have an authority: "26.1. The name of any infraspecific taxon that includes the type of the adopted, legitimate name of the species to which it is assigned is to repeat the specific epithet unaltered as its final epithet, not followed by an author citation ... Such names are autonyms". So Plantdrew was right to remove the varietas authority at Ulmus davidiana var. davidiana. Peter coxhead (talk) 13:23, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
