Article deletion and notability edit

Hello If you're new to Wikipedia, I suggest that you briefly take a look at WP:NOTABLE and WP:SOURCE--they are pretty fundamental pages that explain how an article gets made on Wikipedia. In sum, the topic has to be notable and notability is established with credible, verifiable, third-party sources. Clarification on Kai Lu edit

Hi! I just wanted to help you out a little when it comes to reliable sources. A reliable source would be considered to be a secondary source that was not put out by Kai Lu, any of her representatives, or anyone who has a vested interest in seeing her succeed. For example, if Kai Lu's agent put out a press release it would not be considered a reliable source to prove notability. Another good example would be if a friend or family member put out something about her. (Although if a friend or family member was a writer for the New York Post and did an article about her, that would probably be one of the rare occasions where it'd be considered reliable.) Also be aware that articles, books, or journals that only briefly mention or quote her are really only considered to be trivial sources and don't generally show notability. You can add some of these but they don't show notability in and of themselves regardless of quantity. (I've tried doing that before and got informed of this, so I found that out the hard way.) Notices of lectures, book signings, or other public appearances are not considered to be reliable sources. Professional listings where she's listed as an author (such as on the publisher website) aren't considered to be reliable sources either. If all of this isn't frustrating enough, you've also got to show that the sources are considered notable. For example, if I were to write a blog about Kai Lu, my blog wouldn't count. (Blogs aren't considered a reliable source unless they're by someone extremely notable, such as Stephen Fry or an editor for a major paper.) This means that the blog review that you have posted on the page cannot be used.

It's a pretty strict criteria, to be honest. I know this has got to be overwhelming and frustrating for you, but I just wanted to clarify the "reliable sources" thing that others might have been talking about. I've suggested on the AfD page that you should be allowed to userfy the article on one of your user pages (WP:USERFY), which means that you'd get to have a copy of the article available for you to edit on your user page rather than just have all of the information outright deleted.
