I assume the topic is something like carbon footprint of electric vehicles: environmental footprint of electric cars already exists. Wikipedia uses "summary style" (WP:SUMMARY) where there is a broader and a narrower topic that need to be related. The carbon footprint article should be independent, but with a short subsection in Environmental footprint of electric cars#Consumer use impacts linking out, for instance.

Any article has to start with a topic sentence: "The carbon footprint of electric vehicles refers to the carbon footprint attributable to the manufacture and operation of vehicles with electrical traction motors." Or something similar.

After that, the section on car types might be appropriate. The discussion on impact might have to be divided up, type by type or battery by battery.

All material needs to be referenced to good sources.
