Undisclosed COI
editHello, StaceyCretella. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
Hello StaceyCretella (talk · contribs)! You might have noticed that your last edit to Pacific Equity Partners was reversed. As noted above, there's reasonable reason to believe that you have a connection with PEP. Assuming that you do, you shouldn't be editing the article without at very least disclosing that connection. I know you want to improve the article, and hopefully you can contribute to that happening. A first step would be to make a disclosure as stated above. If you have questions, feel free to post about them on my talk page.BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 13:44, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response on my talk page. I've added a COI disclosure on the Pacific Equity Partners talk page for you. The best way to proceed to update the article is to post your requested edits to the article's talk page, and then let non-COI editors add them to the article itself. This article will walk you through how to do that. Totally understand the challenge of limited secondary sources, but please understand that the purpose of Wikipedia is not to be promotional either. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and welcome to Wikipedia! BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 13:03, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
