Hello Sriram sh, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Hi, may I ask what you are doing nominating Srikanth (actor) for speedy deletion? There is no way in which the text currently in that article could be characterized as "patent nonsense", and no way is the CSD G1 criterion met. Spam in Apligraf(R)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Apligraf(R), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Apligraf(R) is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Apligraf(R), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:55, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Irrelevant point

edit

Hi, I am kinda stumped to know that my article is considered 'blatant advertising' when all I did was post information which I thought would be interesting and revealing to people interested in the field of regenerative medicine. And hey, to set the matter straight I am, in no way affiliated to this organization alluded to. As for the quality of the article, well the debate could go on forever. I can only plead guilty on that count, however I would be most happy if someone could offer constructive criticism rather than 'destroying' the article per se. Thanks. A tag has been placed on Creationwiki, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Leonardo da Vinci

edit

I observed that you were trying to add some info to the Leonardo article, but it didn't work, so you deleted it. Wise move! sometimes things just stuff up if you don't format a reference quite right!

About the information:-

Every day, almost, new papers are written about Leonardo coming up with amazing ideas, like the notion that there is music encoded in the "Last Supper". Thousands and thousands of words have been written about that painting alone. There simply isn't room for every new idea within that article. The article is already much longer than is recommended and it still doesn't discuss all the important paintings, and doesn't talk about Leonardo's architectural designs at all.

So there is simply no room for an unproven theory of that nature within that brief discussion of the painting, which, you will notice, doesn't even name the disciples, because it isn't an in depth study.

So several other pages have been set up:

...and a collection of monographs on the individual works. Perhaps the info could be added to the page on the painting itself. If you go back to the Leonardo page, you will find the right link.

Happy editting!

Re musical notation in painting

edit

My comment would be that it is merely someone's theory. It shows a great deal of cleverness in the person who conceived the idea, but doesn't teach us anything about Leornardo, unless it can be proven to have been his intention.

Despite the fact that Leonardo wrote backwards (he was left-handed so it was physically easier to manage a pen in that way) he did not normally do things in an obscure manner. The notion of hidden and encoded messages is a very Dan-Brownish sort of idea. The "Last Supper" is not about hidden meanings. It is about telling us the viewer a narrative as if we were watching actors on a stage. Leonardo spent his life making obscure things clear, rather than the other way around.

Burning Bush

edit

In a recent edit to the page Burning Bush, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Thank you. richi (talk) 01:06, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
